I don't know where so much negativity comes from, I liked the game. It weighs quite a bit, the time to kill is fine. The graphics are very good for this size.

Saw this was available on Switch, but the even lower price here convinced me to pick it up on Steam. Expected a fun and quick little game, but quickly got frustrated by the controls (WASD to move and mouse-clicks to hit, which is weird outside an FPS) and how quickly I was obliterated on the first stage. I even tried using Xpadder, which routes keyboard and mouse inputs to USB controllers, to see if it worked better that way... but the game ignored it somehow. Maybe I'm just not the target audience for this game, but I was pretty disappointed. If a later update adds controller support, however, I'll give it another try.
It's a fun little roguelite that will have you running and clicking around trying to equip while on the run. Don't try to tank it at the begging you really need to kind of kite it the first couple rounds. The hit boxes appear to be off for picking up items sometimes but for the price they're charging this game is worth it IMO if you just want a quick pick up and play game with little commitment. Only recommendation I'd say is that perhaps some sort of indicator to denote an improvement and perhaps fixing colliding assets that drop from the baddies. It makes it a little hard to equip an item that's better when there's like 20 different items within the same square. Keep up the good work!
Skull Rogue is a good RPG project. I'm a fan of the classic rogue-like style and loved this game! Upgrade an ordinary skeleton and beat mobs! Extensive and varied locations, different types of enemies and incredible pixel graphics. 9 drunk skeletons out of 10.
I picked up Skull Rogue for less than a dollar, so I wasn't expecting much. That's what's good about this game: it's very cheap, and doesn't pretend to be something it's not. But that's also where the positives end... The game is both extremely simplistic, and excruciatingly boring. There's no pause menu, and no way to remap any keys. And it's extra frustrating considering the controls are wonky at best, and downright frustrating at worst. There's no achievements and no "goal", essentially. The Steam trailer will show you everything the game has to offer. It honestly reminds me a bit of the late 2000's Flash Game era (Kongregate, Neopets, Newgrounds, etc.) The item mechanic is also pretty bad. From what I've gathered, there's no way to see the stats of the equipment to compare it to your current stuff. Then again, there's so few items that memorizing them all wouldn't take too long anyway. On another note: a lot of reviews mention "pumping" (as does the game's description) but I have...
did not like it personally it fells slow uninteresting and saying its like a classic rogue like is just a lie
Easy, does not require any mental activity gameplay, thoughtful pumping
t is a fun little game but it would be better if you could upgrade your power not by a lot each level like 1-2 would be good
Exciting RPG in the style of the 2000s. Remind me of the days of browser games, when you are 9 years old and you are playing similar browser games, because I still did not have enough convolutions to download such games. Well, in fact, nice old-fashioned graphics that do not hurt the eyes of a true connoisseur, the plot is as simple as always: defend yourself, pump, defend yourself. A game for those who want to remember the old days.
it great game and i like it :}
