It said female protagonist so I gave it a chance despite being a VN. Could have been nice if the actual protagonist was the wife. The gameplay focuses on the hero, which annoyed me. Not was I was looking for.

This is a good VN with interesting characters and it has a cool spin on the stereotypical fantasy story. If you swapped all the hentai with "fade to black" and only implying sex, this would still be an interesting good VN worth my time. From what i see you can engage with as much or as little of the hentai as you want, within reason. The succubus is going to be lewd and inappropriate, some people are still going to try and get with you and/or your wife, etc. The idea of playing the old hero forced to work for evil to keep his wife safe is an interesting position to see explored. And tbh, why would i not make the story more tragic and juicy by having him try to hold on to goodness and decency as best he can, just to have his wife, that he is doing all this for, get more and more corrupted by evil and depravity right out from under him.

Short version: If you've found yourself thinking "I love NSFW games but I wish I wasn't forced to be straight" and also like themes of corruption this is probably for you. I'll divide up my full review into a couple sections. Quick Note: - I've been playing on Steam Deck. There aren't controller controls, but the trackpad has worked fine for this game. An indy game that has surprised me in many ways. The story of a marriage, a former hero and his wife, put into an extreme situation with all odds against them. YOU decide how will they find solutions to their predicament and how will all this change them, and if it ultimately does. The story of two (not one), with a management and RPG component, and plenty of different paths to take. The story is epic, the sexy content is varied and top-notch, and the randomness of RPG's dice rolling gives it the extra spice and sense of accomplishment when things go your way. This game being part of a trilogy leaves me wondering what new epic paths will the story take in the future. Oh, and don't be misled by the "NTR!" whinning. That will only happen if YOU want to.
