Another game ruined by the community. I get repeatedly kicked from lobbies because I have the "wrong" car selected , but I can't change cars until it loads the track in the background , so it's a vicious circle of kick->rejoin->hope it loads in time...->kicked again. Frankly I've already had enough of this for me to request a refund and never play this game again. Well done to the WF2 community.... This aside, to me it just seems to be WF1 again but with "MORE GRAPHICS" , which really just makes it all the more confusing trying to tell which way to go as there's so much more stuff on-screen. In real life eyeballs can work this out , on-screen it just means more stuff hiding the race route and confusing your senses. I can't really feel any difference in the physics , powersliding is not very satisfying as there doesn't seem to be any obvious benefit to different approaches to the corners - the motorhome seems to be able to corner as well as a normal car, at least when the AI is driv...

Wreckfest 2 features even higher crash fidelity, more intricate component damage simulation and many more improvements across the board!

Destruction awaits on the ultimate driving playground!
Unmatched racing experience
Brace yourself for the most phenomenal full-contact racing action with no rules, just jaw dropping moments of chaos and destruction, powered by the overhauled physics engine. Race in intense head-to-head fights on courses featuring high-speed circuits, crazy courses with obstacles & jumps, intersections and oncoming traffic, or go for demolition domination in derby mode.
More and more tracks & arenas will be added during the Early Access phase.
Awesome & customizable cars
Forget pristine supercars: Our cars are old, dented and patched together. Each of them tells a story, and you can tell your own by customizing your ride. Over the course of early access, more and more customization options will be added to the game. They will not only unlock your creative desires, but also contain new armor and component types that support certain playstyles. And later during Early Access, you can also share your designs with other racers and wreckers!
Fully revamped game modes
Launching into early access with the base game modes of Racing, Derby and multiplayer mode. During the Early Access phase, we will add a completely revamped career mode that adapts to your individual playstyle and guides you on your journey to become a true champion! For online racers there will be new skill-based matchmaking system and server queues coming as well!
Challenges
Another highlight during the Early Access phase will be special challenges, putting you behind the steering wheel of unconventional vehicles that were definitely never supposed to end up on a racetrack! Various bite-sized scenarios will keep you hooked as you battle for the highest scores.
Mod Support
During the Early Access phase, mod support will be added so you can really mess with this game by installing various mods from the Steam Workshop.

User Reviews
I highly recommend this game but BEWARE! It's early access and it lacks a lot of stuff from the previous game, in fact it might be way too early for some. But to be fair this is peak banger racing, nothing else comes close
I loved Wreckfest 1.. Wreckfest 2 definitely feels like a visual upgrade to that.. The crash deformation is definitely better as u don't end up in a ball of metal with a driver somewhere pretzeled in the middle, And now being able to paint parts of your car any colour u want (hopefully we get a designer mode for stickers and numbers too) The game also looks a lot nicer overall ......BUT...... The "physics" are BAD.. Cars spin so easily its frustrating... When hit both yours and the Ai Bots spin as if they don't have any grip and the cars have no weight... This happens constantly during racing, where tiny taps that send vehicles spinning out of control, this is only made more frustrating by the fact that half the Ai Drivers will choose to try to take you out constantly even to their own detriment I had a race where i was 4th and the Ai Bot in 5th just decided we're both going off a cliff turned hard into my front qtr panel and drove us both straight off the edge not once did they...
My friends and I liked the original Wreckfest. So far, Wreckfest 2 has been just as fun. The detail and realism is even better than the first and I can't wait for the full release. I love that you can get really serious into the details or just go have fun. It doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as it's fun. It's fun beating your friends, but it's also fun just bashing the hell out of them, win or lose.
Bought the game this early to support the devs, mainly. Pretty bare bones at this point, but what's there promises an absolute banger of a game. Multiplayer is a ton of fun already. Can't wait for the next update & full release.
When I was able to play it, it was great. But now all I seem to be getting are low video memory errors, and that is only when trying to launch WF2. All other games load just fine. So for now I cannot recommend this game.
The game is INCREDIBLY bare bones for charging 30 dollars. Sure it is early access but, all you get is a few base maps, a few cars, and an option to paint the colors of your vehicles. There is no option to change armor. There is NO option to put on any sort of armor. The cars themselves are very slidey, unlike the first game, and the AI is stuck on masterclass difficulty. Only buy if you want to play around with the destruction right now.
can you have fun in this game? absolutely. can you do the simplest thing like use reverse in quickplay mode... absolutely not. if youre using automatic transmission mode, there is no functionality of reverse whatsoever. this means that even if you mapped the key for reverse, you cant use it... because the mapping is for manual mode only. in quick play, you have to press r to reset the cars postion. you cant reverse with holding the brake like a normal game. you cant force gears either without manual mode. i keep checking periodically. its been ages since the last update, and still theres no fix to this, so id say to gamble on your own terms. if youre easily aggrivated, dont buy the game just yet.
Loved wreckfest 1 but hate this shit. They made it worse.
The game is improving. Additional servers are needed. Some of the damaged vehicles still appear too damaged and appear comical. Game play is very good and the game is fun!
