Boy, I sure do love it when a game ends IN THE MIDDLE OF A CUTSCENE. INTENTIONALLY.
https://youtu.be/l6WHdXazUno One thing this entire series suffers from (Silver Creek Falls included) is the dialog doesn't feel...natural. ALL the games suffer from characters not talking, but just being exposition dumps. It's not natural, and it's very robotic at times. It really draws away from the intrigue of the game, which at its heart, is an OK military mystery sort of thing. That and the abrupt endings. Those are the WORST. I get you want to leave it on a cliffhanger, but this just annoys more than builds interest and a desire to see more. Only get on sale, if you HAVE to own it.

This was excellent, perhaps the best installment of the Silver Creek/Walsingham series yet! The story is intriguing, and the way they've chosen to present it (i.e., you play as different characters throughout the game who are, unbeknownst to themselves, pursuing the same case but from different starting points and for different reasons) works really well for a story involving this kind of plot. I also like that the puzzles make you either research (google is your friend!) or write things out (cryptograms with a slight twist) instead of relying solely on in-game clues or hints. The addition of "always dash" is another decided plus. Definitely worth the price and more. I can't wait to see Chapter 3!
This was awesome to play. It combines old school graphics with a really good story and very interesting puzzles. Loved it. I've actually done a walkthrough for it too because some of the puzzles stomped me for awhile. It's definitely worth the purchase and I can't wait for Chapter 3!
These are really nice little games. I like the characters and the plots. I can't wait for episode three!
The writing was exquisite. Deep, complex plot line joined together with clever narrative made this a real pleasure to play. I stumbled through a couple of the puzzles, but I truly enjoy the old school gaming practice of having to break out a pen and paper, and the new school practice of using the internet, to ferret out everything from history to cryptography. My only complaint, as is always the case for a very enjoyable game, is that I'd like a longer play time. Then, the artist needs to lure us back to Chapter III, which I eagerly await! Thanks!
The Walsingham Files Chapter 2 continues on from where Chapter 1 left off. At first I thought this game was kind of all over the place because you get so far into the narrative and then you suddenly and totally change characters, but in the end it does all fit together quite nicely. The fact that you can simply click an icon in the top of the game screen to increase the game box size to full screen is good But the story is unfinished and so we're left still wondering how exactly everything we've found out thus far in the current two chapters actually ties together.
really excellent . its the best instalment in the series so far.
Really cool game! I played Silver Creek Falls a few years ago and found the Walsingham Files by coincidence. Since the first chapter is also free to play, I thought I'd give it a try... I was immediately captivated by the characters and the story again, so I bought chapter 2 right afterwards. And now I can't wait to play chapter 3! :D If you are interested in challenging puzzles as well as thrilling and mysterious plots, then this game is definitely worth a closer look ;)
