Paleo Pines

I tried to get back into playing Paleo Pines but I found the controls to be too annoying to bother much with it. I couldn't figure out what was going on and started a new world but it feels so handholdy and I remember why I stopped playing. You can't just go and tame the cool dinosaurs you see, each one needs a dreamstone which feels, in lack of a better word dumb? I really wanted to like this game, I love dinosaurs and it looks cozy and cute but it's just not for me. I also didn't like Stardew Valley so take this review with a grain of salt I guess.

While I DO recommend this game I will say that there is a few things that make me not play it anymore.. mostly UI/UX interactions like a terrible map that doesn't track a lot of things as well as quests that do not track well. It's hard to explain unless you're actually in the game but it feels unfinished in many ways, but again, it's cute and pretty and fun to play for awhile.

this game feels very different from others in the sense that the quests are a bit different. theyre fairly easy and usually regurgitated after a while. my biggest gripe is the fact that theres a finite number of dreamstones, which are vital to keeping a dinosaur- this means at no point can you have all of the types of dinos on your plot. I also have an issue with the custom order section not being too user friendly, as well as the walking speed is SEVERELY slow and your character doesnt ever get more than 50 stamina to work with daily. otherwise, i really do like this game. i like the way cooking has been integrated, but its just missing something to make it feel more cohesive. i had to look up quite a few things because i felt soft locked at several points playing the game. its very much so based on exploring, rather than doing what it says to do!

i Liked The Concept of the game ,cannot say there was any problem with control like some have said although trying to put pens together and get a dinosaur into it ( your first tame Gallius ) with your flute was a pain in the A** I have no idea how to train Dinos the only reason i got the first one i got help if that was supposed to be a demo how then it didnt help I would say there is also problems with some camera angles that need sorted so really there are still a few minor bugs I really wanted to like this game i will hope maybe ( but i doubt it ] they Devs can change a few things about this game as people have said for now for me its uninstall time and keep and eye on it. so its a NOT RECOMMENDED

I really tried to like this game. Graphics is cute, dinos are adorable. But that is it. The game feels unfinished in every way. There are no dialogues properly written, the game explains bare minimum. Missing tool bar, some mechanics explained super late. The world is built in a way it is not empty but it is not that full either. The game stretches gameplay by repetitive quests (why is everyone loosing hats?) and placing NPCs far from each other. No option to mark quests you wanna do, controls are clanky. It is as if someone published alpha, except this is somehow finished game. I was excited to play this, instead it left bitter taste.

After around eight hours I've come to the somewhat sad conclusion that I cannot recommend this game in the state it is in right now. In a lot of ways it's great - cute dinos, addicting core mechanics, fun little side quests - but it feels like a demo. The days drag on and on, feeling so repetitive. I found myself sleeping just to see what the spawns were and I realized then that the world, while bright and fun, was pretty empty. Sure there are secrets to discover, plants to pick - but it felt more like collecting stamps than actually exploring. Some core mechanics (cooking, for example) is out of the way, expensive, and clunky. This feels like something base level in other games. It lacks a crafting mechanic, and deeper dives into stats. Whats the point in finding new dinos if they're almost entirely the same except for the color? I'd love to see self-improvement stats as well. Would be fun if had never played another game before, I really wanted to like this game but the more i played it the more disappointing it got.

This game is so cute and fun and easy to play! I absolutely adore it.

It's a cute game and I love the dinos, but I get what others say. The world feels empty and the characters aren't very interesting. The shopping system also needs some work and could use a lot more options.
