A pale copy of Age Of History 2/3, with less historical period (only WW1/interwar/WW2), a poor UI, massive use of AI for artworks, poor diplomatic & politics options.

About the Game
Warnament is a turn-based grand strategy designed together with the community to combine simplicity, depth, and a high level of customization. You can play as theocratic France during lunch and attack Berlin playing as communist Luxembourg by dinner. Or create your own scenario featuring alternative history or something completely unrelated to the real world whatsoever.
Influence and manipulate
Declare wars and sign peace treaties, make pacts and alliances
Guarantee the independence of your allies, force someone into vassalage, or simply insult your opponents (as seen on TV)
Get rich by trading with the big shots of global politics or choke your opponents with economic sanctions
Drag your allies into international conflicts: the more, the deadlier!
Crush and rule
Wipe out your enemies with a deadly array of military forces—from infantry to nuclear bombs
Rule the seven seas with cruisers, battleships, and aircraft carriers
Protect your land with fortresses and other defensive infrastructure
Despise the laws of warfare using a chemical or nuclear weapon
Expand and thrive
Progress through the technology tree to discover a wide variety of buildings and structures
Choose one of half a dozen political regimes, and make political decisions that might change the course of history
Control each province of your country independently to ensure an economic and scientific breakthrough
Create, share, and play your own worlds
Make your own scenarios in the included editor
Use the editor for creating your own maps, as historically accurate (or not) as you want
Share them with other players, if you wish to: best community-made content even makes it into the official game
Use the timelapse editor to create your own history

It's like an elaborate game of Risk on steroids. Tech trees, buildings, moving armies and attacking/defending is intuitive. BUT... why are they charging for a DLC that should be included with their game? I mean seriously.. a Visuals and Animations pack?!? I'm all for supporting developers, but I am sorry... this should be included with the main game, no? -- It's like making a FPS shooter game but not including the sounds of the guns without buying the DLC. haha! So let's make a strategy game that's pretty much all TEXT based with barely any visuals and then charge the public if they want the visuals and animations. Dumb!
The game is fun but needs a great deal of work and I mean a lot. Right now, it feels more like a framework than a fully fledged title. It has potential, especially once the community starts creating custom maps and more nuanced political decisions. But at the moment the maps, decisions and game-play feel very incomplete.
Major issues include:

Pathfinding is broken; armies sometimes take absurd “round-the-world” routes just to cross a river if there’s no nearby port
No way to undo orders a single misclick and you’re stuck waiting for your army to finish its march before doing anything else
Armies occasionally vanish without explanation and are gone for good
Build icons are too small, making it easy to lose track of structures
Numerous spelling errors, and poor word choices in some political decisions make them hard to understand
The game is in need of significant balance adjustments.
Diplomacy feels underdeveloped and adds very li...
Gameplay - Fun if played with friends, but overall just a classic strategy game - 6/10 Graphics - Has a simple UI and map, but could be better - 7/10 Features - Has many different features but none of them is properly made or complete - 3/10 Price - Too much for a basic and simple strategy game 5/10 Workshop - Can create custom maps and scenarios, you can even create timelapses for videos - 10/10 Overall: 6.2/10
I just bought it and wanted to lets play it. But in my first run I had my army run all over the world. I sent them from Berlin to the french border. But it never arrived. Instead I got this army shown to move everywhere in the world. Each sector had an arrow for it. I had this bug now in 2 of 2 games. It is game breaking. Also, user interface is very problematic. I cannot read the diplomatic updates on the left side. Sometimes there is the country box over it. I also cannot scroll it. If there are many messages I cannot see them. Another user interface issue is the controls. Doing buildings, updrages, diplomaty, shelling all requires for some reason to open the country or sector menu. Why cant I simply click on the country or unit to give an order? It is 100% more clicks every turn for no reason. Lastly, nothing is explained in the game. For example, I have an thing zu unlock that gives 20% more income from population and -20% from tax. Isnt that the same ingame? Or what exactly does...
honestly it has good bones but lacks some quality of life features and also doesn't have much depth / is far to easy as someone who doesn't play war style games.
Tried too hard to be Age Of History 2. It has good options but the UI is terrible. Way terrible. AOH is simpler, faster, leaner, everything-er than this one. Was a good try, at best. 3/10.
great game. not to complicated while being fun and in depth my favorite strategy game
