Out of the dozens of farming game released each month, only Immortal Life, Dinkum, and Stardew sticks. And so far, Immortal Life surprisingly outperforms the other two. There is just so much content, and that almost everything you cultivated, fished, dropped through combat will serve a purpose, making your hard work feels meaningful. The game is not as polished in terms of its UI, font, or controller mapping, but it's much polished in terms of QoL mechanics. There is one storage system where all your goodies are kept (thank god), no real punishment for staying past bed time, and you can plant crops out of season (with deduction in yield), the town is much closer to your field and that you can start building teleporters very early on. It provides much more leeway and freedom in terms of how you want your game played out. I'm 80 hours in and it feels like I'm only half way through the main content, definitely recommended. (tips: avoid using controller for games developed by small Chinese...

About the Game
Immortal Life is a captivating life simulation game where you strive to restore the Guiyun Sect after its near-total destruction – all while you try to achieve immortality through spiritual cultivation.
Decided to help your new brothers and sisters make this settlement grow and flourish into a prosperous village, you will work relentlessly with them to restore the Misty Valley by farming, cooking, and crafting decorations for your new home. As you strengthen your bonds with them, you will learn more about their lives, stories, and motivations.
As you work and improve your skills, you will ascend in your cultivation journey; and your adventures will take you far from your Misty Valley. One day you will rebuild the strength of the Guiyun Sect and restore the glory of the Misty Valley. And maybe even achieve immortal life yourself…
Roam through the countryside, using your magic to cultivate fields, and taking care of crops with enchanted tools. Manage your own farmland amidst changing seasons and weather.
Master various skills such as fishing, cooking, crafting elixirs, or making furniture. Remember, every skill is important to help you restore the Misty Valley and cultivate your soul and powers.
Train your abilities and attend classes before submitting yourself to the tests that allow you to reach a new step in your cultivation journey.
Travel to distant lands, uncover treasures and use your magic to defeat mythical creatures. There are more than 10 different Mystic Realms and you’ll have to master different abilities and strategies to find the crafting items that you need from each territory.
Get to know your brothers and sisters and help them with their daily struggles to strengthen your bond. Each character has their own personality and interests in cultivation. By helping them, you’ll learn more about their lifes and motivations – and receive new items, missions, and skills. You can also invite them to share your dwellings.
Acquire spirit stones, unlock new territories, and initiate construction projects to establish a tranquil sanctuary in the valley of your homestead. With your crafting skills and the help of your brothers and sisters, you will get new decorations and magic tools for your farm and house.

Refunded... I wanted to like this game as an Eastern-themed 3-D version of Stardew Valley. Not so. The controls are strange and I can't shake the feeling this I'm basically playing with a giant diorama. It does not really feel like a video game... too much jank.
I really enjoy playing this game. Pros: I like the style of the game. The little cut scenes were pretty neat. However, I have the volume turned almost all the way down, and yet the cut scenes blasted my eardrums out, which was annoying. I can use magic to summon thunderstorms and water more than one crop at a time. If you accidentally plant in the wrong season, you don't lose out completely, the quality of the plant just goes down. You aren't forced to go to bed at midnight or 2am, and you have an adequate amount of stamina in the beginning - It didn't feel like in some games where you chop one tree and have to sleep. I personally hate the cooking minigame, but I'm putting it as a pro, because I think there are a lot of people who WILL like it, and also it's just nice for a game like this to give some love to cooking, instead of just pressing a button. The map shows you exactly where the villagers are, and the shops stay open pretty late. The super scythe ma...
i really like this. i like both farmings games and xianxia, and this is a great combination. being able to stay up continuously without eating makes you feel like a real cultivator instead of breaking immersion. you're encouraged to use sleep to restore your power, but less often especially as you get access to powerful spiritual foods. cooking is a fun minigame and there's lots of opportunities to do so even if you are hoarding ingredients, there are several cooking quests and eventually a randomized quest each solar term. you can also use food to hold banquets for your friends and they have comments for each item, it's lovely. sometimes you do feel like you're running slowly, a base speed boost would be welcome. there are food and elixirs that increase speed temporarily though. i saw other reviews complain about the names. it may be difficult for non-chinese, but i promise it's possible with a little time, and besides the map has pictures of the characters too. i find the inve...
This is a very fun game! If you like things like stardew valley or harvest moon and want something east asian inspired i highly recommend this game. it has more of a story line than those two do but plays very similarly. I have thoroughly enjoyed the game thus far.
This game found the extremely difficult balance of simple, yet with enough to do that is varied enough to remain interesting. It is the first game in a very long time that has reminded me of my favorite game from youth, in which a young green elf sought to save a princess.
very fun game to play you can get lost in gameplay
I am not a farming game fan, Stardew valley or Mistria didn't stick with me but this one is actually fun. Perhaps it is because i like the xianxia setting but nevertheless i like it! I am still very early in the game (8 hrs in, didn't build the main hall cause i keep getting distracted and spending money haha) but i feel like there's enough variety for someone like me who just liked to clear side quests instead of progressing the main story line. I like the cooking mini game and i feel like with enough practice i can get it perfect (now i get excellent/2 stars 80% of the time for 2+ dishes) I have went in on the farming already with a huge field and i use up my stamina/mp just by watering all the plants 😁 I read that there isn't any romance and i actually don't mind that. I really love that i get gifts or news from other characters daily, but i wish we could befriend the villagers too. Also i just hope for more updates. Looking at the road map, the 1.0 version was released ...
its fun up to a certain point but it is not a game that should be considered full or even in a "final" version, it absolutely feels like an early access game with a bunch of polishing and patches to be done (not to mention content to be added). It has potential to be a really good and fun game so I will keep my review positive for now but will change to negative if there are no news or updates in the following months because I just can't recommend a game that claims to be finished when it clearly isn't.
so cute and cozy!
