Typical game of this type. I took my time and got 8 Hrs from it. It's worth the buy IMO but like always, it's better when on sale. It did work on my triple screen setup.

About This Game
Fortunately, there's more good news than bad. As you rebuild a string of ramshackle towns, trains will bring much needed supplies to the station, sheriffs will lock bandits behind bars and the natives will cast a little magic to make it rain. All you have to do to earn your stars is think ahead and beat the clock!
As you complete quests and earn rewards, you and your engineer – a plucky but whip smart gal from the big city – will make your way through dusty canyons, snowy mountaintops, dazzling meadows and more!
Download Golden Rails: Tales of the Wild West and make history as the king of the tracks!

Simple time/resource management game. Graphics and music create a relaxing cozy atmosphere, the storyline is simple but still engaging and keeps you interested to move from one level to another. Each level is a small map with different types of production buildings (houses, farms, sawmills, etc) connected by paths. Starting from the main building with a few workers, you need to clear the paths from debris, get to the production buildings and fix/upgrade them to complete the level goals. There's no need to perfectly calculate every move, just follow the general priorities - that's enough for most levels (75% of the time I got 3 stars on the first try). There's also an easy "difficulty" with no time limit at all, but it gets boring very quickly. Even if you don't like time pressure, I'd still recommend to not play on this mode, it just kills all the fun. The only part I didn't like was the grinding for the last 3 achievements. Had to repeat one level for about 10 times to get the to...
Good time-management game.
Very Good
Very good challenge. Smooth interface and, with a little patience, you can get 3 stars on every level. Achievements are achievable, so that scratches that itch, so to speak. Lots of fun

Fun point and click , Time management, resources management game to play. You are an engineer and are helping to build a railway through towns, but to do so you need to get wood, iron and food. And before your time is up, also look for the hidden owl on each level. On some levels you even have to deal with bandits, but its either build a sheriff hut and upgrade it (and you need gold) or on some other levels your partner deals with them. There is also a few bonus stages where you have to be really fast and shoot the pop up bandits and if you shoot the golden ducks , you get extra points.
its ok, follows guide lines closely ;(
Great time management game would recommend 👍
