User Reviews
We bought DragonRide VR about 6 months ago and the first thing I should say is that the "game" has grown a lot in that time. Back then it was more of an "experience" because you could only ride the dragons on a couple of pre-made routes. Since then the developers have added more dragons, dragon and player customization, free flight, a bunch of new environments and several mini-games. The dragon models are just beautiful and my daughter loves collecting eggs and gems. The developer updates the game frequently and we can't wait to see what they add next. My daughter is really into the Wings of Fire books and she really loves the dragons in this game. Edit - I just wanted to mention they now have a Rhythm Ride option where you pop balloons to music as you ride on the back of a dragon. Somewhat like BeatSaber. A very fun addition. That plus new worlds added. It just keeps getting better!!
i wanted to try if i can play it ( i only have a nvidia geforce gtx 1050Ti). And i could play it really well <3
edit after the recent updates Dragon ride is more incredible again the best dragon game we could wish and has a lot of new modes rhytm and ride it is awesome ,we can use swords and a ot of others weapons in rythm with music the free fly mode is wonderfull , we could not have more the feeling to be on a dragon on the air , on the ground , in the water ( with a lot of customisation to unlock) and mini games modes amazing like using crossbow with power up or do treasure hunt to find the eggs of the dragon and where giant crossbows try to kill you and exploration mode to can see the wonderfull stages from the ground and the mode ride where we can ride different dragons underwater and in the air like and more 10/10 for this wonder vr this game is one of the best vr experience with dragons ,Dragon ride vr is incredible the graphism are about the more wonderfull graphisms i seen in vr the dragons are wonderfull , the landscape are wonderfull , the dragon we ride ca...
My daughter LOVES dragons, putting her in this was one of the happiest moments she's had in a while. Couldn't believe her reaction to it. It looks pretty nice, it runs really smooth. With 2000 VR hours in, I can't do the wild mode, but the kids can. Price is a little high, for what it is right now, but it's worth it for me. My kids rode around these dragons for 2 hours so far. Dev responded to some questions from me immediately and put out an update.
One thing I've noticed about this game is it lets you ride a dragon in VR.
(Update): The active development of this game continues. New things have been added, like a rhythm game where you fly a dragon and pop balloons with a rhythm of a played music track. Various tracks of many genres can be selected. There is also a leaderboard to check your skills and to compete with other players. The game is getting more and more fun. And if you like dragons - it's a must to have! (Original): I just spent the last 1.5 hours of flying a dragon in a beta. It wasn't easy to learn to fly, but it was even harder to stop flying afterwards! This experience alone was already a good reason for me to have the game. The game is still in development, and the development looks very promising.
This game is pretty good. Who doesn't want to ride a dragon? There's many mini-games and things do to. The flight mechanics are pretty good and it really does feel like you're flying a dragon. Not sure why more people don't buy this game! It's a great deal!
DragonRide VR is a very nice experience where you fly on a dragon's back, through some detailed & impressive environments. It's one of those games I tried out of curiosity and find myself returning to as time goes on. On one hand, it's more an experience than a game, however there are many modes that add a game element to it. I have to admit the rhythm ride mode is my favourite and this mode even support custom beatmaps/ songs without installing mods - something that doesn't seem to be noticed yet by the beatsaber players (which is a shame as it deserves more recognition). Motion sickness can be an issue on the harder locomotion settings, luckily there are many options to reduce it to pretty much 'no motion sickness' at all. The game runs incredibly smooth, even on lower end PC's and is still actively being expanded on with new modes/ environments. It feels really made with a lot of passion and dedication which is one of the reasons to check it out and support the developers :)
If you like Beat Saber style games but with a very nice twist this is good game too buy. Everything else is there for the fans of dragons and roller coaster rides. Here is a gameplay video of this Rhythm game mode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpo23vVzWZ8
