I'm a casual - hobbyist, ALMOST hardcore gamer. Pros: - Creature designs are fantastic. Some look weird but in cute/funny way. - NPCs feel very unique. I applaud this crazy number of sprites. Went way above and beyond. - Story is pretty surprising and good so far. I believe I'm more than halfway. Highly recommended. - Music is... I don't even know why they went so hard for a creature collector but please continue to do so. - Locations/ Maps are pretty unique. Great atmosphere. I remember every city which is really rare. - Fast travel unlocks quite early so it's good. - Difficulty feels just right unlike in Pokemon where you just stomp your way through to post-game. Cons: - Movesets are a little... bland. Not much to plan around. They're pretty much the same moves for every Nexomon, just reskinned. Maybe only different ones for some of them. Suggestions if Devs look at this: - The achievement to beat every tamer AGAIN... Maybe have a database to tell us which ones we'v...

Friends turn into foes, enemies become unlikely allies, and the story is packed with wild twists and clever references. All the while, your cat companion can’t stop breaking the fourth wall—usually at the worst (and funniest) times

I've tried playing this game on several occasions, but I just drop it again every time. Nexomon Extinction fails to live up to the greatness of the original Nexomon. Its focus on being open world means that there is constant backtracking if your "reputation" (what you earn for doing various side quests) isn't high enough and the level scaling means that you will always have to waste a lot of time grinding whenever you catch a new addition to your party. Not only that, but the additional bonus stuff added to the capture rate means that basic nexotraps barely catch anything anymore. You will have to farm a ton of the elemental boosters or food items if you don't want to be tossing 5+ nexotraps at every single encounter. The story/humor are still good, but the gameplay is a downgrade. More is better if it's fun, but what was added to this game is just tedium for the sake of tedium. Sad to see a series with such a good first entry turn into this. I don't think I'll be buying Nexomon 3.

Overall I'd recommend this game Good: - Gameplay - Story (I have not played Nexomon 1) - Monster design Not So Good: - Music is just okay (though I love the boss track) - Nexomon names can leave a lot to be desired - Graphics. This is the biggest downside to the game and it was hard to get passed (Almost refunded due to it). There are several things here. Yes, it looks like a mobile game (makes sense due to its heritage), which in of itself is a bit off-putting, but also has several other flaws. The lighting makes no sense. There are sections where shadows are coming from every direction, and random god rays that don't line up with anything. Everything is very saturated, and there are a lot of colors in use at once. it's pretty hard to tell what's what. No real theme here either. Character feels more like they're from an MMO. You'll see a cowboy, mad max looking person, and sci-fi scientist all in the same room. Despite the flaws, the gameplay has hooked me, and I currently can't se...

An exceptional experience for those who love Pokemon, without being a complete rip-off. Each creature has a unique design. I'm not completely sure how evolutions occur, or if they can be delayed, but the game does a good job of showing you what attacks work against other Nexomon, and which ones does not. The story is fairly interesting as well, and the game itself can be challenging.
