Updated, the original post starts on the 2) 1) Played this for over 50h in total and the Dev made many additions to make the game even better, if you were in doubt before, now it's a nice moment to buy this game. The new mechanics blend in to the game and with the SIRALIM universe even more. congratulations, very, very solid game, 2)Played it so far, very interesting My personal liking is for quick battles which are present. Strategy comes in knowing your opponent and be able to counter it. Not only you need to abuse their weaknesses, you gotta cover your own. I like the creatures artwork, expanding the siralim series concepts, all looking beautiful so far OST is very good Can be a bit hard but you have acess to your stable, where the cards you got are, for easy switching. Not a big punishment for losing, and winning makes you stronger. So far, very good Review em portugues https://filopoisquilo.blogspot.com/2020/04/trial-of-gods-siralimccg-e-o-mais.html

About This Game

Trial of the Gods is a collectible card game based in the world of Siralim. Collect creature cards with unique traits and use them to battle against the gods.
Features
- 100+ cards to collect that are based on creatures from the Siralim series! Each card has a unique trait that changes the way it works in battle.
- Full-length campaign featuring over 90 battles, along with a hard mode.
- Post-game content that features randomly generated battles. Win these matches to empower your cards and make them stronger!
- Matches take only a few minutes to complete, lending the game a "just one more round" style of play.
- Gameplay is based on Triple Triad and Tetra Master from Final Fantasy.

Travel the 15 realms of Rodia and challenge the gods! Each realm consists of 6 battles. You will be rewarded with new cards and experience points for winning these battles, allowing you to experiment with new deck compositions to ensure your victory.

Each card has unique stats and a trait that changes the way they work in battle. Use the Skeleton to snipe your foes from afar, or utilize a kamikaze-style attack with the Apis. The possibilities are endless!

Siralim games are known for their insane amount of post-game content, and Trial of the Gods is no different! After you finish the campaign, you'll unlock a Hard Mode that is sure to challenge even the best of players. In addition, you will gain access to the Itherian Realms - randomly generated battles that allow you to empower your cards if you win, giving them increased stats.

Don't let the 4x4 game board fool you, this card game has ample depth and strategy. And tons of content that you would expect from a Thylacine game. Very little randomization. And what little there is can be bent to your will through smart hand building. No mana or resource management to drought or flood your game. No deck to worry about drawing on curve. And you can see your AI opponent's deck so there is no PvE trickery going on. Losing and winning are based solely on your skill. Its a refreshing pace from other card battlers out there. Also, no micro-transaction BS.
TL;DR - Do you like Triple Triad and/or do you like Siralim? Buy this. Longer form, this is a great tile-flipping card combat game with a somewhat richer and weirder set of mechanics. If you're unfamiliar with the format, cards have 4 directional values: A number on each side. Placing them next to other cards will flip unfriendly cards if you beat their value on the connecting side. This is all stuff it has in common with its core inspiration, the Final Fantasy 8 (and FF14) mini-game Triple Triad. But that's where the similarity ends. Instead of TT's often arcane and weird regional rules and the very move-limiting 3*3 board, Trial of the Gods has a 4*4 board with 6 cards to a hand, an always-on Class feature that gives elemental-style advantages, and most importantly? The NEUTRAL state. Cards in TOtG get flipped to a grey side that counts for nobody unless they're overkilled or special effects take place. This makes gameplay significantly more layered than even the most competitive T...
A fun fantasy deckbuilding and tile placement game. Take on the gods using a variety of monsters. Similar to Triple Triad but with, in my opinion, more fleshed out mechanics, a satisfying campaign, and a great postgame that encourages you to keep playing. A single match can play in 5 minutes so it's a nice game to have on hand when you want to fill some time between other things, but complex enough that I can play it for hours at a time.
Just a bit of prefacing: I really like digital card games for the simple reason I am clumsy and don't like holding real cards in my hands. With that out of the way, what is this game exactly? Trial of the Gods: Siralim CCG (referred to from now on as just Siralim CCG, for brevity), takes the expansive original monster menagerie from the Siralim games (think of Siralim as mix of Dragon Quest Monsters and Pokémon, with all original art and a lot more depth than any of the two), and uses the same lovely pixel art from the games for the in game cards. If you are a RPG buff like myself, I'm sure you know Final Fantasy and that two of its entries had delightful card minigames, Triple Triad (FF8) and Tetra Master (FF9). Siralim CCG takes some general concepts from both of these and gives them its own spin, to a very entertaining result. As good as Triple Triad and Tetra Master were as a distraction, they were not without big issues: Triple Triad felt largely static outside of specific r...
If you've played FF8 you'll immediately recognise this card game. Except its nowhere near as well done as Triple Triad was. Bigger playfield, more special effects and the Siralim monsters. Unfortunately the lack of polish, especially on the short but badly looped music track, make the asking price laughable and the game simply not worth the time/money.
I'm normally not a CCG player at all but I will buy literally anything Thycaline Studios puts out. That being said, I've had a good time with this game so far. It's a simple little card battler with a surprising amount of depths. I especially love seeing all my favorite creatures/gods from the Siralim universe in this fresh new art style! The only suggestion I have would be to put a rematch button after a game loss in the normal campaign levels so you can jump back in without having to go through the loading screen again.
Very interesing twist on Tetra Master (from FF8): cards have multiple skills, you can select perks, etc. Simple concept with many complexities. I recommend it wholehearty. One idea for card skill for developers - cars that cannot be played on turn one, cards that cannot be played on turn five, cards that must be played on turn five, etc.
TLDR: It's a solid game at its core, but lacks that special something. For now. The devs are planning more content to round out the game, so take this as a review for the release build. In-Depth: Gameplay involves playing cards to flip opponent's cards. It's heavily based on Triple Triad, the FF8 mini-game thatq many fans consider the best in the series. It adds a twist- each card has its own traits, adding a layer of depth/mechanics that players can play around. It's easy to get into and slightly harder to master, but anyone familiar with card games in general will find themselves right at home. With short games, it has an addictive "Just One More" pull to it, but there are several design concerns I have about the structure and direction of the game. The game has a pull factor in its core gameplay. There is, unfortunately, no push factor beyond a few achievements and grinding for cards. There is no meta purpose as an incentive to keep playing, such as card modding in FF8. No PvP...
I just didn't find it to be very engaging for me. You're probably better off playing the card games in Final Fantasy VIII and IX.
