User Reviews
After playing all of the series, this is the most meaningless, boring, nothing burger of a story. Even The Devil in Me is more entertaining. Played with 4 other friends in movie night mode and we all agree this was the worst entry by far.
Why bother with making multiple decisions at all? Just make a button that says ‘pick one of two endings’ and stop wasting everyone’s time
[th]▶ MY RATING:[/th][th] ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✘ ✘ ✘ ✘ [/th][th]6 / 10[/th]
Even though this game is pretty controversal amongst the community, I really enjoyed it personally even if this one is my least favourite by far. The ending is a middle finger.
A Little Hopeless Ending.
Trapped and isolated in the abandoned town of Little Hope, 4 college students and their teacher must escape the nightmarish apparitions that relentlessly pursue them through an impenetrable fog.
Story
You play as five survivors—Andrew, Angela, Taylor, Daniel, and Professor John—who get stranded in the seemingly abandoned town of Little Hope after a bus accident. The town is eerily quiet and full of foreboding. As they try to escape, they begin experiencing hallucinations and visions that blur the line between the present and the past.
Gameplay
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is an interactive drama survival horror game with strong paranormal elements, played from a third-person perspective with fixed camera angles. Movement uses tank-style controls, making navigation feel heavy. You control five different characters, solo or in multiplayer, and between chapters encounter the Curator, a mysterious figure who off...
gud gme
Good story/gameplay.
5/10 This is my least favorite game of the series so far. The prologue is great, the last part of the game also, but the ~3 hours part inbetween is REALLY dull. You essentially just walk around in a dark fog, and see some short "flashbacks" between two jump scares. The control of flashlight is just dumb. I was not really found of the characters, either. Also, I felt that I can't really control the fate of characters - you realise you've made a mistake after your character died rather unexpectedly. But the QTEs/action sequences were great, and I also liked the story - unfortunatelly, you really don't know what's going on until the very end of the game, but at least it's satisfying.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope had me absolutely hooked from start to finish. The atmosphere was creepy, the scares were on point, and the story kept pulling me deeper the whole way through. The ending completely threw me for a loop — I didn’t see it coming at all. It’s been a long time since a game has drawn me in like this, and I loved every minute of it. Definitely a game I’d play again to see how different choices change the story. Highly recommend for anyone who loves horror with a strong narrative twist. 👍 10/10 would get scared again.
I loved the story! So many unexpected turns. The ending was a surprise.
