Hunt the Muglump

Hunt the Muglump is a very charming game. I have playtested this game, so please ignore the hour gameplay here on steam, my review comes from much time hunting these dangerous beasts! The design is so old school and I love it. If you enjoyed old PC games from back in the late 80s and early 90s this is going to be right up your ally. The game is very easy to learn and challenging to master! Each time you play it generates a new dungeon to hunt in so the game is never stale and you can't simply memorize things either! I have one bit of advice though! When the fluttering wings take you away, have a piece of graph paper handy, and try to track the rooms they take you through! It's really fun to try and get right!

Man, such a fun little game! Classic graphics and music make for a awesome time! I've only logged about an hour so far but will definitely be logging more. The simplicity of the game I think is why it's so fun, but I didn't say it was easy. Takes patience to make your way through the dungeon and make it out alive! Well worth the $6. Also, who doesn't love a good Wilhelm scream?!

This is a nice little dungeon crawler - straightforward controls & game play, basic toonish graphics and a good soundtrack. I haven't gone to the highest difficulty yet, the lower levels give you a great feel for the play, with larger maps & more MugLumps as you progress. If you enjoy retro-style crawlers (think Temple of Apshai, or a VERY stripped down version of NetHack), I highly recommend. This is well worth the cost - I'll be firing this up regularly.
