I thought this game was just about sneaking around and burning some rats Easy stuff, right? Nope Two hours in and I’m emotionally destroyed, attached to a magical kid, and crying like I just watched the saddest movie ever The action is awesome you get a crossbow, throw fire, sneak past guards, and cause chaos. I felt like a total legend… until the game hit me with the emotional scenes and suddenly I’m sitting there like *Wait, why am I crying over fake people?* Amicia is the most tired big sister ever, constantly saving everyone while slowly losing her mind Hugo is the cutest little guy with the scariest powers, and I would 100% protect him with my life Their story is SO good, it actually cured my fake PTSD. I finished the game and felt like I just went to therapy with rats The game looks beautiful, the music makes everything more dramatic, and the rats? Way too many. Like, way too many... If you want a game that’s full of action, emotions, and just the right amount of pain...

I tried to like this game. The first one was really good. But this one - while everything about it is good, the story, the emotions, the graphics, the play style the game allows you, everything - it just felt like a chore and a drag. Every level was a chore to get through. You get caught, you get killed, and gt respawned with all of the enemies around you. Bad luck? You try again, get's caught, dies, gets respawned in the middle of a mob. Again. It was just so frustrating! Personally, the parts I enjoy the most was the parts where you can kill everyone, but those are few and far between. Large landscapes, and a lot of enemies. Even the exposition bits are slow. Why can I not run or at least walk faster when we are being led somewhere? I know I did not play the game long, but when I checked and saw I was only halfway, I lost heart and had to stop. Despite all the good things about the game, I was not enjoying it.
One of the BEST game I have ever played, literally. I thoroughly enjoyed the game. The great writing, eerily epic music, spectacular scenery, and gameplay that looks simple but is actually fun. One particular thing I truly adored about the writing of characters was that none of the them felt cynical, which unfortunately can't be said about most characters in other games. The journey of Amicia and Hugo from Innocence to Requiem was a tear jerker that felt personal. Kudos to Asobo Studio, you have earned my deepest respect.
I can't recall the last time I played a game, beat it, immediately bought the sequel, Beat that, and then beat the New Game+ mode, all in less then a week. Genuinely one of the single best games I've ever played.
Another amazing game by Asobo Studio! Continues the story of Amicia and Hugo and ads some great new characters to the story! Just as good as the first game but even more emotional! Already excited for the new game in 2026! Asobo Studio is quickly becoming one of my favorite studios with these games!
I really enjoyed this sequel. This entry though, the story goes in crescendo, in a big way. I don't want to give spoilers, but it gets darker. It will take an emotional toll on you. The music is amazing, just like the 1st game. Voiceover actors, at least in the english version, are very good. I'm a fan of this franchise, and I would love to see it evolve over time. This is a story-based game. I fully recommend it to those seeking a cinematic adventure. The puzzles are very nice. HDR is really good. We'll see where Asobo takes us on the next adventure of the Plague Tale world. Go ALL the way through the credits. Do not stop. Post-credit scenes await.

The problem with Steam is that when a game does not load through their platform they blame the game manufacturer. You are stuck with no solution.
After finishing its first part, Innocence, I just know this one will be depressing. Guess what? It's the best emotionally heartbreaking cinematic game I've played so far! I highly recommend this one for those gamers who are into narrative and story-centric, you won't regret it! Worth every single penny!
