Lootcraft is an fun RPG/Rogue-lite-ish game, here is a list of pros and cons that I found through my current playthrough of the game to simplify the review.NOTE: I wrote alot below, both so that players can see how this game is well worth the price, but also I noticed its a single developer and i feel the more detailed the negatives, the more helpful it will be to try and fix them. Its a game well worth it's modest price for the amount of effort and game there is here, but weird and bad choices are scattered all over that needlessly hurt the game PROS: + The amount of items and loot, the game truely lives up to the name. + The gameplay is based in different leveled dungeons which give you different level and kinds of loot based on your level and skill to get there. + Art style feels sort like a retro flashgame from the mid 2000's especially the main character who looks like Interactive Buddy a bit (nostalgia hit) + Combat is simple and fun + The stats are easy to read, and easy to se...

I love RPG games and love the nostalgia of the classic game feel, which this game has. The controls and mechanics are simple enough, yet the game itself is deceptively challenging. It starts off slow but when you get to the second dungeon, I felt like the difficulty curve got much steeper, so it forced me to play more strategically. Graphics are simple yet colorful which I really like. So far so good!
Super fun and engaging! I can't believe this is made by one person... Love the crafting system and collecting gems to make better items. Super addicting and there's so much to do, new things keep unlocking as you level up. Really awesome that it's basically infinitely playable too, you can make new characters to change your strategy - classic RPG fun :) So much content for the price, worth every penny!
Fun game with a diverse array of items, loot, spells/abilities, and enemies. The character progression and ability to upgrade gems which can be further upgraded or used immediately to improve weapons/armor is an interesting mechanic that has me debating whether to save gems for later, upgrade them, or use them immediately on my current equipment. The roguelike dungeons which are separated into different worlds to allow starting play from different points is a concept I haven't seen before, which I liked. You can either go back to previously beaten worlds (5 levels each) to loot, complete quests, and upgrade your character, or continue from the furthest set of levels that you've unlocked. But either way the worlds are procedurally generated each time you begin one and you must play each through from start to finish to complete it (but you can always exit with your gained experience and loot). Some in-game mechanics could do with a hotkey instead of necessitating being mouse-clicked, s...
WOW, this is fun. I dont normally play video games, but I cant seen to stop playing this one. I have played it for 2 hours straight! Super rad graphics. 10/10 would recommend
Just grind. Boring.
I wanted to really enjoy this game. I feel like I gave it an honest try. But in the end it's just not an enjoyable enough experience to continue playing. The developer is great. He responds to feedback and frequently updates the game. But at it's core it doesn't make me want to play more of it. Pros: The controls and combat feel great Cons: The levels are basically the same thing over and over and they only way they scale is through more hp and more damage for the monsters. The loot does not scale accordingly, nor is there enough of it to truly call it lootcraft. There is a potion that increases rarity of item drops by 4% for 6 minutes. But I can easily go 10-15 minutes without finding any weapons or armor to take advantage of that benefit. The bosses are just scaled up versions of the monsters in the normal levels. The only technique to beating them is wearing down their enormous amounts of health. Level ups don't really make you any stronger or give you more attack power. Many...
