FFV has one of the best job systems in the whole series — super fun and flexible. The enemy designs are gorgeous, full of creativity and style. I also love how the game takes you through two unique worlds and then merges them into one huge, unified map. It’s such a cool and epic twist that makes the journey unforgettable.

I first played this game 18 years ago and never was able to beat it due to losing the game cartridge. But now its finally done and a small part of my childhood that was left unfinished is now complete. Now on to complete FFVI.
Fix. The. Font! It is insane that after 4 years you idiots still have not figured out that the font is terrible! It is an assault on the eyes. Unreadable. Previously this could be "fixed" by changing the font files of the English font to the Japanese font, or with the help of mods. After the most recent update, neither will work. Your only options now are to suffer the feeling of being stabbed in the eyes with every word you read, or to use the new "classic" font feature, which is somehow even WORSE! I am visually impaired, but these fonts make me wish I was fully blind. FIX THIS!
I am very happy to play Final Fantasy V the remake. The graphics are great and I love the new look of the game. The monsters look better and the game play is amazing. I am having a lot of fun playing the game.
Amazing game, great port!

FINAL FANTASY. Best game, paired with the best music. What more can be said...
Worst FF I've ever played.
Way back in 2016, I posted my very first Steam review, of the now-defunct mobile port of Final Fantasy V. I gave that game a weak recommendation, not because it was good port, but because Final Fantasy V deserves to be played by more people. Here we are 2025, and I'm reviewing the Pixel Remaster of FFV. First, I'll say what I've said about every other Pixel Remaster so far: this is not really the definitive version of the game, as in it does not have the extra content that was added in the GBA release. That said, it is the most accessible version, so if you just want to play FF5 for the sake of saying you did, this is the best version to do so. Second, I'll reiterate that main point from my 2016 review: Final Fantasy V is worth your time. It is probably the most underappreciated game in the series, if one compares how much people like it against the number of people who actually play it. That's different than being underrated, as most people who play FFV rate it very highly. It's jus...
Once again a great story, and by far the better job system thus far. Definitely worth the play through.
