i love supporting indie games because i come across gems like Carto more than i would expect. it's perfectly polished, not in the sense that it has no soul or charm, but in the sense that it has everything: a unique puzzle-solving mechanic that is challenging without being frustrating, cosy art style, a good soundtrack, and a heartfelt coming-of-age adventure storyline with lots of exploration with adorable characters.

Very cute and fun game but there's too much dialogue for my liking. Maybe some people are into that but I'm not. I just wanna get to the puzzles. I got this on a steep discount for like $6 so if it goes on sale again I can recommend it but I wouldn't recommend at full price.

非常有创意的小游戏，还是国产的，真棒！看到最后哭了。就是感觉按键很难受，怎么改都很难受。关闭地图，要按地图键，如果是一般游戏都是esc关闭，这个不行，也不让改。感觉还是给手柄玩家做的游戏，改成键盘之后没有优化的特别好。

A cute and charming little story-puzzler. Relax and enjoy the map re-arranging mechanics, which can be tricky at times, but not overly taxing. A lovely little world, which as a curious traveler, you leave your mark on. Relatively short; so judge with that as you will when considering the price, otherwise, enjoy!

Such a wholesome and heartfelt puzzle game. One of my favorites now! An absolute steal when on sale.

such a healing game

Carto is a cozy and comfy puzzle-adventure game. The art feels like a living storybook and the music wraps you in this gentle, soothing atmosphere. I really enjoy the unique map mechanic, picking up and rearranging pieces to explore new paths, it makes the world feel playful and full of little surprises. The story is sweet and heartwarming, filled with charming characters that make the journey feel special. The puzzles can be a bit tricky at times, but never overwhelming. It's a nice balance between making me think without breaking the relaxing flow. Carto is the kind of game you curl up with like a blanket on a rainy day. Not too long, not too hard, just the right mix of charm, adventure and coziness :) Highly recommended if you love relaxing puzzle adventures with heart.

This is such a beautiful game in every way, from the storyline to the artwork to the music! Definitely worth buying, and it was so much fun to play.
