What a junk game. I don't expect much for 99 cents, but at least you should be able to blow up a bomb without the game freezing. I just finished level 7 and had to restart each level at least 2 times just to get that far. Don't waste your money on this one. I will be returning it.

This has to be the most bug infested game I've ever played. Is it possible to get through the levels? Maybe. It all depends on luck. No idea what creates a bonus because there aren't any instructions. If you play the game like a regular match 3 game, it's going to crash 100% of the time. You have to play slow, but you have to play fast enough to get through the levels. There isn't a reshuffle when you're out of moves. Out of moves equals game over. And this happens a lot. The power ups or bonuses, when they do appear, will randomly explode. No reason, they'll just explode. The only way to get through any of the levels is to play slow, play from the top (counter to all other match 3 games ever), and use the power ups/bonuses as soon as they appear. If you want a match 3 game, try anything other than this one. I'm stuck on level 27. Due to the layout of the board (and the luck of the draw) you can end up without any moves. The only option is to restart the level. Again. And again. An...
Do not buy this game, it actually does not work. You cannot progress in this game at all.
As other reviews say the game randomly freezes on ya. No idea how the bonus items work but you shouldn't use them anyway to have a chance of completing the level. Edit: November 11, 2022 Finally was able to beat level 29, took me only 5 hours. The last level (level 30) was easy as heck again.
I originally thought this was a different game with the same title, but at 49 cents, I figured—why not? After twelve hours of playtime, that’s about 4 cents per hour, which is a steal. Is it perfect? No. I had one freeze and occasionally tiles disappeared in ways that didn’t seem related to my moves, but nothing game-breaking. Some people mentioned bugs, but my experience was mostly smooth. It’s definitely repetitive and mind-numbing, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need—a simple, thoughtless way to pass the time. Plus, you can complete it and get all the achievements. Worth it if you’re in the mood for something relaxing and cheap.
This was not the game I was expecting, evidently there is another with the same title somewhere, but it was on sale for 49 cents so - why not? Twelve hours in and that works out to about 4 cents per hour, a bargain. Is it perfect? I noticed that some complained about bugs. I experienced one freeze, other than that nothing terrible. Sometimes tiles go away that did not seem related to the combination that I made, but - 49 cents? It's possible to finish the whole game and get all of the achievements. It's mind-numbing and repetitious, but who among us does not need to spend an hour or so in pointless, mind-numbing tedium sometimes?
It may not be the most inspired match 3 game, it may not look too pretty, and it may have a few bugs, but the basic game mechanics of Planet Destroyer are solid, and if you like this type of game, you can absolutely have some fun with it. Less than a dollar for round about 3 hours of entertainment is an okay deal in my book, so I am giving this a thumbs up, more so because I think the developer(s) can use a bit of encouragement, since they do not seem to be all too experienced.
