I was excited that I can finally view my Fuji 3D camera's MPO files in VR... and the options to resize, move around, and even display multiple images at once is awesome. I asked the dev to see if they could support the Lenovo Mirage camera's VR 180 photos (which no other application seems to support), and they released the ability to do so in the next patch. and they look amazing. The wide support of formats, combined with the user friendly interface for multiple windows, makes this one of the best VR media viewing apps I've ever used. I hope they add support for network share access and cloud service integrations.... it's pretty new, and the dev seems eager to please. Which is always a good thing!

About support for Windows Mixed Reality
Windows Mixed Reality headsets have been released by many companies and have not been marked for Windows Mixed Reality because they have not been confirmed to work on all models, but operated normally in environments using "FMVHMD1 (Fujitsu)" and "Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR" (However, it does not support controller vibration).

This is a great player for standard video playback, it's very simplistic. However, it's extremely limited when it comes to 3D VR playback capabilities. There are numerous 3D VR video formats & the only ones that I can get to work were 3D 180 VR SBS videos & standard 3D videos encoded as SBS or TOP / BOTTOM format on a 2D screen. 3D 180 VR videos that are recorded with a single fish eye lens display no stereoscopic effects. 3D VR 360 videos that utilize the new Youtube encoding format don't work at all. I think it's called Equi-Angular Cubemap or EAC. The VR videos need to be encoded as equirectangular format for this player to play it successfully I suppose. In all fairness, I'm using the Lenovo Explorer WMR & there is no mention of this player supporting Windows Mixed Reality headsets but because the demo worked with standard videos I opted to buy it since I like how simplistic & how efficient it is in allowing me to quickly navigate my system to playback videos. I'll update the...
Very good for watching 4k 180° ... movies and such :)
This is a good VR video player. It offers a free demo, so you can try before you buy. The reason it's good is it does not have as much performance issues as I have seen when compared to any other SteamVR video player when using a WMR device. Steady playback (no apparent skips from poorly timed or missing frames, even if application says the frame rate is constant) should be the number one priority in a media player, though many apps seem to overlook that and just put a bunch of features in their player that seem to cause inconsistent performance issues. This app does not support web browsing to my knowledge, but does offer everything else I could want from a VR media player (all view configuration types, 2D, SBS, OU, 180, 360, etc., Media Foundation and DirectShow support, good file browser, tilt and zoom, controller support). Definitely recommend this product, try the demo out for yourself if you are unsure.
Great player with clean interface. I use it mostly to play 3D movies using my Varjo Areo headset. Amazing experience and totally new ballgame. And great alternative to home theater projectors where I can watch in private w/o engaging entire family.
Now I can finally watch all my stereoscopic photographs in mpo format full size in the VR headset and without the need for readjustment. That alone justifies the price for me.
good
Actually the best viewer for 360 photos in VR on Steam. It's not bad even for classic 2D photos. It would be nice to have ability to play Youtube videos in that app (specially the 360 one).
IMHO this is the best Steam media viewer for VR. If it had a file cataloging (add, delete, rename, move) function it would be perfect.
Excellent viewer. Has every feature I wanted in a media player fully integrated with index controllers. Only thing I would like to see is opening more than 10 windows and the ability to save window setting but I don't believe anyone has done that so I'm not being critical. For a test I opened one window with some music, second with a movie (you can balance audio on each window) and then surrounded the space with 8 photos. Each photo is adjustable and you can scroll thru the folder seamlessly. Controls could not be easier. I did not try hands free mode.
