東方幻夢箋 ~ Touhou Phantasm Dream

Firstly, I didn't really like the game, this doesn't mean the game sucks, I find it rather interesting even tho I can't read chinese (which is kinda dissapointing since the story looks somewhat intriguing seeing how the characters depicted in it are mostly masters/stage 6 bosses, extra bosses and few others that don't really have an appearence but if you know touhou you're most likely to know who they are or at least an idea) Why do I dislike it? It's more about how the game works rather than the game itself. [b]Difficulty[/b] Not a real problem here, even on easy/normal it can be quite challenging... but there is, as if you're hitbox wasn't already small, even the bullets themselves seem to be rather tiny too. Asides from that, anything above those two difficulties doesn't really put more pressure on you, the reason for this is because the mechanic of Phantasm Dream is a grazing system. A pretty fun touhou fangame! And a pretty hard one at that! This game bucks the normal 6 stage format and instead opts in for a 3 stage one, which each stage being a bit longer then your average touhou stage, and with each stage 2 and 3 having 2 midbosses instead of the normal 1 midboss per stage. Something I really like is that stage 1 and 2 is different for all 3 of the playable characters, with only stage 3 being the stage all 3 characters have in common. This gives you a reason to actually play every character if you want to see everything the game has to offer. The music in this game is also pretty damn great! I love all of the arranges this game has and it's original tracks are nothing scoff at either. My only complaint is that it's sadly not in english, but thankfully you don't need to understand whats going on to have fun with a SHMUP. A shame because I have a feeling it's story is interesting. Really good fan-game. The soundtrack is superb and the visuals are great. Readability is pretty decent, some patterns have really nice colors. The difficulty isn't too steep but it's still fairly challenging. The gameplay is really faithful to the original game series.

Finally out today on steam, i really enjoy playing it ♥

For a Chinese Touhou fan game this is pretty darn good! I'm having an absolute blast!
