About the Game

An island outside of reality. A rogue human civilization hoping to resurrect dead alien gods. A murder behind locked doors.

Paradise is an island that regenerates every few millennia. The psychic power that the alien worshipers within release into the universe is meant to feed and eventually resurrect their fallen deities. But this force also attracts undesired interest from demons, who eventually corrupt each island — until a new alternate reality is birthed by the Council.

The system isn’t perfect, but it will be one day — on Perfect 25, the next island-to-be. But on the eve of rebirth, the Council is murdered and Paradise is killed.

In the aftermath, the “investigation freak” Lady Love Dies is summoned from exile to find the culprit. This is the crime to end all crimes.

What are the facts? What are the truths? Are they the same?

Return to Paradise Island in this updated and enhanced version of Paradise Killer, featuring new music and new mysterious beings, additional quests and rewards, extra Starlight skins, and more collectibles to find, plus performance improvements, a HUDless mode and Steam achievements. A free update for all players, available now.

Featuring DX12 support, ray tracing* (DX12 only), advanced upscaling (NVidia DLSS and AMD SR), and a host of other visual and performance updates, Paradise Island looks more stunning than ever!

You are tasked with finding the killer and building an airtight case against them. Take your case to trial and argue your interpretation of the evidence. Only when someone is successfully convicted can the crime be considered solved and Paradise be saved.

The “truth” is that there are many possible killers, and many ways to build a case. Even if you make a convincing case for prosecution and get someone convicted, is the mystery really solved?

Paradise is an island set in an alternate future history filled with cryptic lore and even more mysteries. Examine bizarre relics to learn more about this world’s surreal history.

You choose who to accuse, and build a case to support conviction. Everyone on Paradise has a secret to hide and something to gain. Old friends become new suspects, forcing you to choose between the evidence, the greater good and your own beliefs. There are many possible murderers, but who you pick will define your own personal truth.

Let your personal computer and electronic assistant Starlight be your guide through another dance of an investigation. Collect evidence, record testimony and interpret the facts to form your own truth.

Solve hieroglyph puzzles on ancient nightmare computers to discover new areas of the island, find concealed evidence and reveal terrifying secrets.

Paradise Killer has a suite of accessibility options that allow you to tailor the game to suit your needs.

*Raytracing requires a compatible NVidia RTX GPU, DirectX 12 and Windows 10 Build 1809. To play with Raytracing, please launch the game in DirectX 12 mode.

This was a long drawn out experience that infuriated and perplexed. Why was it bad? The overreach of trying to be multiple games in one. If it were just a detective story in a visual novel format, it would be amazing. Instead you get a annoying collect-athon over a huge amount of space. The space is very beautiful. Drop dead gorgeous landscape, that I hope I can see in VR. Yet, still with the lack of a cohesive history and over abundance of nonsense about the Gods, Immortals and Citizens that most of it was just boring! If it was just a collect-athon, where there were more NPCs, without the who-dun-it? It would be an amusing waste of time, like an idle game in a cool world. It suffered from ovewr bearing lack of fast travel options and movement upgrades you had to buy…honestly as if getting around the island wasn’t annoying enough, smh. Anyhoo, would I recommend this? Sure, on GAMEPASS, do not buy this for more than 10$! It’s worth checking out, the Devs made something that should...

An aesthetically and vibe-pleasing muder mystery detective game. The eccentric art style and unique vocabulary of this game adds to the already amazing world building this game provides. Hope there will be a sequel. (I'm pretty sure there will be ;) ) If you like danganronpa, you'll love this game.

The game is weird, all the staircases are giving me a migraine, the island feels way too big. I still have no idea what is happening but I am invested.

Not only is paradise killer a beautiful game visually, it has really great world building and lore coupled with incredibly fleshed out characters that you grow to love (or hate). You can complete as much or as little as you like (so if you get tired of exploration quickly, there's no actual requirement for you to spend hours finding every clue, though I'd recommend it) before choosing to finish the game. You can also replay the game a hundred times over with different endings based on your choices, so you definitely get your money's worth! If you like visual novels, open world games, puzzles or story-based games this is absolutely not one to miss.

Wonderful game. One of the few games to actually make me feel like a detective. Some of the character designs put me off the first time I tried it, but five years later I loved Promise Mascot Agency and upon realizing that this was by the same devs, decided to give it another chance. I'm really glad I did.

It's essentially a combination of a visual novel and a collectathon, in a super unique and interesting world (we're basically members of a fanatic evil cult that are certain they're the good guys) and interesting characters (most of them are our pool of suspects). The platforming and physics are kinda poopoo but since you can't die and free to explore the whole island until the very end of the game, these are very minor issues. Very fun game. It's highly recommended, as a chiller experience that offers an interesting story and some surprising moral choices.

A good hybrid of a solid walking sim and text-heavy detective story with interesting world building and a great vaporwave vibe thanks to excellent art design and an atmospheric electronic soundtrack. Style over substance? Quite possibly. But if you're open to exploring a vibrant, colorful, quirky world with well-written, diverse characters, you'll get your money's worth here. If you want to experience more vaporwave, I also recommend the game “Broken Reality.”
