this is literally the best $20 ive ever spent in my entire life (bought it during a sale) please take the plunge and buy this duology even if you're just the slightest bit interested in it
Good AA duology, despite not having Edgeworth.
Normally, I do make a sincere effort to review games I've completed - especially games I spend a lot of time on, that have characters or plots I've come to care for an awful lot, so forth and so on. Just because Ace Attorney is large series, published by capcom, doesn't make it any less deserving of that effort - it just means I need to take a different approach to reviewing it. I have a great appreciation not just for the way the better ace attorney games set up and ask you to solve your cases, but an intense affection for the way Great Ace Attorney Chronicles asks you to do so. Even just the basic setup of the cases benefits greatly from the setting and time period, bringing in period-accurate trivia and facts of life to build upon the solutions to things. Even if it's not the most *realistic* depiction of 19th century London at times. But it isn't trying to be - not with my favorite character, Herlock Sholmes, running about. game takes away every single seemingly important choice you make, what a let down
I just finished the first episode and I really enjoy it!!! The story is really great until now and the case was logical, not necessarily easy all the time thought so I did have to think about it, which was enjoyable. Additionally, the music is definitely a favorite part of mine (actually one of the first reason which made me want to play this game). It is just really fitting and sings to my soul!
