Gem of a game, Basically a medieval Xcom in an Arthurian dark fantasy setting. Choices are meaninful, and the Tactical combat is great, only caveat is a bit too much exploration in non randomly generated maps, which might make it less interesting after the 2nd playthrough but still, Highly recommended.

About the Game
You are Sir Mordred, the nemesis of King Arthur, the former black knight of the grim tales. You killed King Arthur, but with his dying breath, he struck you down. You both died – and yet, you both live. The Lady of the Lake, the ruler of the mystical island of Avalon brought you back to end a true nightmare. She wants you to go on a knightly quest. She wants you to finish what you have begun. Kill King Arthur – or whatever he has become after she took his dying vessel to Avalon..

A Role-playing Tactical Game
Experience a unique hybrid between turn-based tactical games and traditional, character-centric RPGs! This dark fantasy version of the Arthurian mythology invites you to manage a team of heroes on the dangerous battlefield, while also engaging in moral choices, hero management, and the rebuilding of Camelot. The dark fate of the kingdom
Explore a land of nightmares where vile monsters and magical creatures lurk within castles and forests. The battle between Arthur and Mordred brought death, both of them falling at the hands of each other, and now the consequences unfold. Arthur, resurrected in Avalon, is now an undying mad king, his pain slowly turning this magical place into a nightmare version of Britannia. You are Mordred, brought back to life to find Arthur, and ultimately, kill him to end this accursed condition. The Round Table reborn
Gather your knights and send them on quests involving deep, tactical battles! Assemble a team of heroes, selecting from six classes (Defender, Champion, Marksman, Vanguard, Arcanist, Sage). Level them up, gain unique skill points, equip the best items looted from missions. But beware! Heroes can die, and the treatment of their injuries, curses, diseases take time. Between missions, make sure that Camelot has the right facilities for recovery, and prepare different heroes for different quests.A question of loyalty
Heroes are your main resources – but no mere numbers! They have their own distinct personalities, goals, rivalries (even unique traits, skills and bond benefits). They will observe your decisions closely! Settle disputes, grant favours, select heroes who can work together, send them on missions they are comfortable with. Tread carefully, because their loyalty depends on many factors. They can even leave and turn against you!
The making of a monarch
You, as a king, have a personality as well, shaped by your actions and moral choices. The Morality Chart will represent your status between Christianity and Old Faith, between Tyranny and Righteousness. Your choices affect values on this chart, influencing both gameplay and narrative. The weight of decisions
Knight's Tale offers four different difficulty modes, from laid-back storytelling to the most grueling battles Avalon has ever seen. Those looking for even more challenge can also try Roguelite Mode. Here, every small decision matters – not only the moral choices, but actions taken in the turn-based combat as well. The campaign unfolds with a roguelite twist: no reloads, only regrets! The thrill of dealing with the consequences is half the fun, but your decisions also affect the story. Each playthrough can unfold differently, branching in unexpected ways. The end is only the beginning
Play through the campaign (once or see multiple paths), and after that, you unlock the endgame, reserved only for the bravest. Tough new challenges appear on the map with mythic bossfights, random quests, more loot and character progression ultimately leading to the banishing of Balor, the monstrous god-king of the Fomorians.
At release, King Arthur: Knight's Tale will be available with English voice acting, with English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Hungarian text localization. We may add other languages later.

Fantastic TRPG. Don't go in thinking it's XCOM. It's similar, but you don't create/customize Your Dudes. These are all their own characters, that you can level and customize abilities on. Occasional FPS drop no matter what graphics the game is set at is the only downside. It's not even that bad, just mildly annoying. Good game, play it.
Overall great game, definitely deserves more attention. Very solid core gameplay. Strong combat mechanics, character and base management, itemization and lovingly crafted setting on top of it all. The game did a lot of little things just right, and most importantly, it showed this dev team is very capable and could possibly create a banger eventually. I just think there are some issues here that should not be repeated in possible future titles. First, the lenght and general pacing of the game. It's too long for the amount of content variety it can offer. Knight's Tale pretty much entirely consists of combat, and while it's good, the latter half of the game didn't inroduce nearly enough to keep it fresh. Only way to have fun in late game is to willingly experiment and constantly rotate your squads. If you manage to create an OP team, well, you'll be yawning all the way till there's a major difficulty spike. Thank god you can speed up all combat animations. Seriously, would be borderlin...
its xcom but with swords ! for the round table!
A simple RPG tactical game where the basics of positioning, team composition and tactics matter with just enough RPG and building elements to keep you invested.
It was good until towards he last 10 or so quests, when I started experiencing frequent crashes. I pushed through (so much frustration) and finally finished the main game. Now I'm playing the quests after and it's gone downhill so much. Constant crashes, so many different bugs (unreachable enemies that make battles impossible to complete, do any kind of melee charge attack on a bone cage that just stops the game altogether, etc.) The decline in effort by the devs towards the end of the game and everything thereafter is evident.
Amazing game!
After initially having problems with the game not loading correctly (it would open up a loading screen that never loaded), I had to reach out to the developer to fix the issue. I stopped playing a couple of months and the issue seems to have started up all over again. I haven't messed with any settings, so no idea why this game is unplayable again. Not worth playing for me due to always having issues getting into the game.
A Solid but Overly Long Tactical RPG
King Arthur: Knight’s Tale is a decent tactical turn-based game that feels quite similar to XCOM. There are five character classes, each serving a different role in combat, and skills unlock across three tiers (levels 5, 10, and 15). The problem is that characters within the same class lack real diversity—their skill sets are nearly identical, just split across the tiers. By the time you reach the final tier, every character in the same class essentially plays the same. The combat itself is fun, but it quickly grows repetitive since the game introduces no new mechanics. Progress becomes a cycle of finishing missions, recruiting new characters, and moving the story forward. Speaking of the story, it didn’t really grab me—but that may be because I’m not deeply familiar with Arthurian lore. The game reimagines the legend as a dark fantasy twist, and I suspect those who know the original tales will appreciate its creativity more...
its a good enough game for the price. it has a good story so far and good game play.
