It's a real shame that this is the newest and most likely last singleplayer Yugioh game ever, because it has A LOT of issues. It is PAINFULLY slow, the animations for doing anything take FOREVER. Using Cheat Engine to speed up the game by 5x is pretty much a requirement to play this game Card pack opening is also extremely slow. In a game with 10.000+ cards with no duplicate protection, you have to open packs of 5 cards, one by one, and it takes 10 seconds each. Just do yourself a favor and grab a save file with every card and 0% completion from somewhere... And then there's the actual meat of the game, the story mode. And it's not really not all that great... The idea is good, but unfortunately it's not "faithful to the TV show" at all. The characters will constantly use cards that they never used in the show, most of them not even existing at the time the show took place. (Since when does Jaden use Masked HEROs?) But also the story decks are genuinely awful. Every duel the charact...

More complete version of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist. Two more storylines and lots of link monsters for deck building. In terms of deck building, while this is one of the best titles available it's held back slightly by how it lets you collect cards: random-card packs. You'll be opening hundreds of them and rarely get the card you want. It is what it is. To be honest, link monsters bore me. With it, turns just keep going and going and whether from turn player or the other player point of view I just don't like those long - very beginner unfriendly - combos. Think about it this way, you have an idea about a cool deck around a niche win-condition. Can you make that win-condition happen on your first turn? Can you keep your turn going, searching and summoning until you have the pieces you need for the win? If not, don't bother building that deck. If yes, you're going to have to learn long, complicated combos so that with any starting hand you can achieve your win-condition. And your ...

Incredible game. Really allows you to get the full experience of the different YuGiOh eras without having to deal with other players. Unfortunately, there will never be another YuGiOh game like this since Konami has mastered predatory game marketing with MasterDuel.
