It provides an insane challenge, not only to your aim but also to your atention. Infinte shapes with eyes will haunt your nightmares as they are envy that you are a TANK! And now you must shoot them your way in order to advance and shoot more of them in an infinite vicious cycle of shape murdering. Also the flashing background and non-stop electronic music will complete your psychedelic trip to the slaughter as your brain melts beat by beat. The bass drum resounds as parts of your enemies are thrown in the screen and you realize you are stuck on a loop of endless killing. It continues until one god damned arrow shaped bastard appears out of nowhere and throws you back to the last checkpoint. Then you rage quit and return to a boring reality, living paycheck to paycheck, paying bills and the rent and discussing the weather in public transport. But the eyed shapes will still haunt your nightmares ... forever.

About the Game
GAMEPLAYSHAPESHOOTER is literally an on-rail shooter, you'll have to clear colonies across 4 planets from a little creatures infestation called polygoneers. But that's not important, you'll not get a story here. You'll get frenetic action, insane music and a super hard challenge!
WEAPONS
In SHAPESHOOTER you'll have 5 different weapons, all of them have 3 levels. Gatter OCTARINGS to upgrade them, and trust me, you'll need it.
TRAPS
Besides a the polygoneers, you must watch out for traps, A LOT OF THEM. Look at the size of this saw, I bet it has at least 200px wide.
UPGRADES
Improve your tank to survive, there are weapons, shield, magnet, wheels and of course skins, because you need to be shining while destroying everything in front of you.

The premise is alright, but the controls is very difficult to get a good feeling. Plus, the colors you have to match are orange and purple, and while that isn't a bad thing it would've been a million times better if it were blue and green or another combination of colors that match the Xbox controller buttons.
This game has disappointed me a lot. It looks like fun from the videos, but it's not. The controls feel very clunky, and the menu for changing weapons is pretty bad. The game consists of advancing down a lane and destroying enemies and dodging traps until you reach a save point, but it is quite boring and uncomfortable to play. The graphics are not bad. The music and sound effects are the best in the game. 4 asterisks Asteriskel rating:* * * *
I really wanted to like this game, I really did. I've greatly enjoyed several other games by the same developer, and had high hopes coming into this one. Sadly, after 8+ hours with it, I don't believe I can comfortably recommend it (I really wish Steam offered star ratings akin to Yelp/Amazon/Google/etc., rather than simply a binary yes/no, as I'd probably give this something like 2-3 / 5). Right off the bat, I had and still have a perplexing technical issue. On my previous crummy entry-level machine with like 4 GB of RAM and integrated graphics, all of Nuk Games' titles ran perfectly smoothly, with absolutely no issues. I recently acquired a new-to-me, gently used mid-level gaming PC, however, and now, suddenly, every single one of this developer's titles that I own no longer has sound. None of the other titles in my library that I've tried on this "new" machine have this same issue. I've tried the obvious solutions, but the fact that this is the case with multiple titles from...
Very well done, engaging game, I highly recommend it! Congratulations!
i think is a pretty neat rail shooter i like the graphics style of the game well done :)
Your tolerance for the little details this game flubs will determine how much you enjoy this game, but for me, I'm not sure I feel like playing past the second level. Things like getting killed by an enemy because a shot whiffed due to randomized angles, or the incredibly distant checkpoints, or the fact that your shots seem to destroy pickups (EDIT: it turns out pickups aren't destroyed but instead picked up!! this is actually good, but a bit unclear), or the fact that there's no mouselock so you can accidentally click outside the window but if you try to play on a controller the aim is agonizingly slow and locked to eight direction, or so on. I don't want to be incredibly hard on the game because a lot of what I tried felt nice and I like the concept, but there are a lot of little places where a lack of polish makes this difficult for me to stick with.

This one's a tough call. The gameplay itself was enjoyable and addictive, but some design choices made it monotonous as you had to replay the same levels repeatedly to unlock new ones. This eventually dampened my enthusiasm, even though I had a genuine desire to keep playing. With some improvements in the design, it could have been a significantly better experience. Nevertheless, if you're seeking a laid-back game for your Steam Deck, you might still give it a shot.
