About This Game

Set in the town of Beardsville, where the law requires every citizen to have a beard, you wake up one morning to the horror of all horrors...someone has stolen your beard! You and your loyal dog Leo must uncover the truth of this dastardly crime. Find new beards, help the community, look for clues, and discover a conspiracy deep in the heart of Beardsville. Can you solve the crime before the annual Beard Festival?

Inspired by classic point-and-click adventure games of the past, Who Stole My Beard is a casual game suitable for all ages!

Have you ever wanted to make tomato sauce, catch butterflies or solve the mysteries of space and time? This game has it all...

Explore Beardsville. The suburbs, university, museum, park, city hall and industrial districts are just a few of the places to visit.

Solve puzzles and unlock new beards to gain access to restricted areas and clues.

Fulfill the townsfolk's requests. Sometimes a cup of coffee can be the start of a beautiful relationship. Fulfilling the requests of the townsfolk will earn you their favor and trust, unlocking new avenues of investigation.

Collaborate with your dog, Leo, to discuss case clues, suspects and plan of action. He may be a little sardonic, but he tells a great dad joke.

Fight off the Beardsville Police in a unique puzzle-based, stealth battle system.

Fun game with great artwork and bubbly music to accompany you on the journey. I haven't finished the game yet but you can tell this game was created for the right reasons and it shows. If you enjoy simple RPG's, light humor, beards, and dogs....then you'll enjoy this game!

I'd like to tell a little story. It has been a dream of mine to create or help create video games. Gaming holds some of my fondest memories, but there are other ambitions I want to pursue, plus I struggle to understand programming. However, one day, on a whim, I posted to Reddit asking if anyone in the RPGmaker community wanted help writing dialog for their game. I know how to write, I thought it might be a fun side project. I was contacted by someone for an in-progress indie game that had been delayed- a game called "Who Stole My Beard?" The developer of this game is so hardworking and committed. He was very flexible and gracious with me when I had to put writing on hold for college. The lines I have written are currently in the game (it's not very much, just some npc greeting lines and other miscellaneous stuff) and I couldn't be more excited. From what I have seen, the product Cleardot has released possesses a charm that far exceeds any technical limitation. The whimsy of the wor...

I have been playing this game for the last 2 days and just completed it, plus all the side quests and every achievement. The Good ---------- Overall - It is a very charming game. Lots to do, good amount of play time for the money and lots of variety in terms of mini games, quests and areas to discover. Also it is pretty funny in places (I laughed a few times), has many unique characters and lots of little cute pop culture references and quirky aspects - like the changing pictures each day based on time travel movies and passing references to TV shows like The Wire Main Story - The main story took me about 4-5 hours to complete, and the game kind of guides you through it so it is not extremely difficult. I liked this aspect because otherwise I might get lost walking around all the time, There is also a full walkthrough guide posted in the community for the game page for if you get stuck. I did not use it for the main story but I did for 2-3 of the side quests. The story evolves in ...

This game has been so much fun. Very reminiscent of classic RPG's that we all grew up with. I love the mystery, all the puzzles and police adventures, the story line was great and cute music soundtracks. The developer has even put it on sale, you really cannot go wrong with this purchase. Also check out the NFT's available. One of a kind :)

The storyline has been great so far. It's very engaging with a funny premise, not to mention the best part of this game... it has various modes of problem solving puzzles which keeps me immersed into the game for longer then I expect. If you are a fellow gamer that likes to problem solve and various solve puzzles, this game does not fail to execute! The game is pretty intuitive to play too! great game design!

Don't spend your time on this game. It has bugs that prevent you from acquiring certain beards, meaning you cannot complete it without workarounds and you can never 100% it. The game also has plenty of other bugs, issues, and annoyances.
Bugs
1) You can't get some of the beards, blocking normal progression. One of these beards is the Van Dy ke beard. It used to drop after a special battle with police. See playthrough video here (1:28:00). However, they removed battles from the game in an update in August 2021. The update says that beards that were acquired through battle can instead now be purchased at Red's store (the store to the right outside of your Home apartment building), but that is false. Good game but you need patience to play it. It keeps freezing and that makes you have to shut down the game and restart at your last save.

This is an amusing little game based on an absurd premise. The characters are distinct, the mechanics are fun and it doesn't overstay it's welcome.
