The game has a very simple premise and you'll probably die (without being scared) within 20 seconds of starting. Pros - Graphics and FPS are OK - Multiplayer Cons - Boring - No backstory? - AI is kinda stupid and you can kite them easily - Mechanics are too simple, I was bored in 5 minutes

About This Game
THE STORY OF CRIMSON HOTEL

The Crimson Hotel was built on the site of millionaire J. Blackwood's mansion in the late 1880's. While built as a luxury lodging, the hotel never truly saw a success until it's renovation in early 1920's. The hotel entered its golden years at the start of the 1930's and remained a staple of luxury accommodation until the late 1940's, when a series of accidents involving the Barker family, which ended with the death of its two children, plagued its reputation and caused the hotel to enter a steady decline and be shutdown and abandoned in 1954. While the children's deaths were deemed accidental in later years to come, it is said that Jane Barker, their mother, who had originally been named as prime suspect, never truly reconciled with the loss of her children. Despite the extensive news coverage and attention that this tragic story attracted, it is not known what happened to Mrs. Barker after her release from custody.
GAMEPLAY

You play as one of four teenagers on their way back from a party when you car breaks down. It's late, it's dark and while there's no one that can help you around, you are 'lucky' enough to find yourself right outside the old, abandoned Crimson Hotel. You'll have to head in and scout for a car battery, tyre and fuel to fix your car and get out. But, finally, you understand why the hotel is abandoned...
ENEMIES
Some say the unfortunate children & their mother remain within the hotel still to this day. Not much is known about them outside of urban myth.
Jane Barker's children died under mysterious circumstances. The boy drowned and the girl died from poisoning, believed to be airborne.
Jane Barker's son, the drowned boy, rarely left his mother's sight. He was extremely well behaved when being watched. It wasn't until his mothers' back was turned that me met his end.
Jane Barker's daughter, the mirror girl died mysteriously from what was later discovered to be a poisoning. It is said that guests at the time heard her crying in despair as she tried to escape. It is said that she can be heard banging on the walls and mirrors throughout the hotel, and that anyone unfortunate enough to be present will meet the same end.
Jane Barker herself is said to wander the hotel halls looking for her lost children.
FEATURES
Why do I need a full tank of gas to escape the haunted hotel? Why can't I just leave with half a tank?
The head bobbing effect in the game has a weird jittering effect to it which made looking at things while moving really hard. I always had to stop moving when I looked for the small keys scattered in the rooms. Other than that and the janky doors the game worked and ran fine. There were at least three monsters in the game. They are
the weeping angel kid
,
the floating heavy breathing ghost
and the
mirror teleport girl
. The monsters were surprisingly well done. My friend died in their hands and I escaped the hotel alone. It was a short and pleasant co-op experience.
It is very buggy. This game has a lot of potential but it isn't as polished as it should be. We couldn't proceed because we didn't find any keys.
It just doesn't work, keys wouldn't spawn and wasted time i rather would've spent listening to novi god.
this game is really somethin
Unfortunately I finished this game in under half an hour as the main AI threat got stuck on the stairs and was unable to chase me anymore. I don't regret that however because all this game boils down to is a simple run around looking for reasonably difficult to spot items and then returning them to the start of the game. The movement felt janky, moving a small amount seemed to stick and carry on for longer than it should. You can't jump. Graphics were OK but the menu UI was a little unintuitive. The jump scares were not scary. There was an annoyingly loud high pitched scream from another AI. The real disappointment that I found unforgivable was the ending or complete lack thereof.
Saw mostly negative reviews but I honestly love games like this! On the cheaper side and cheap scares. I've spent way more money on horror games that sucked. Overall for a few dollars the game was fine! You get about what you would expect which is perfectly fine by me. I got a few good jumps and clips from the game and that's what matters to me! I played with another person and the game lasted about 30 minutes. We both got downed in the game but never fully died.
Spooky game, had fun with my friends :)
This game looks cool and It's cool that it works with multiplayed. but Keys wont always spawn where you can get them (In rooms that you cant get to yet) Not worth playing unless it gets updated.
Dude this game is more scary like was thinking its damn crazy bro
