I think it's a really pretty game to unwind to and get lost in, and I personally really enjoy the gameplay of collecting things and upgrading everything. However, after finishing it, I felt more glad it was over and didn't bother finishing my final resort, because of just how much you need to micromanage. It has a lot of bugs, I found the story confusing, and most of the characters, even 30 hours into gameplay, had the same few dialogue lines. And I think what bothered me most of all, was that the progression is very linear. I wanted to decorate my resorts differently, have different styled rooms and themes, but the only way to progress it to have strictly the best items, shoved into each room. So in the end, none of my resorts had the variety I was hoping for. Despite all that, I don't want to give it a bad review because I genuinely enjoyed it. I just think if you're going to buy it for yourself, be aware of these things. You can still have a cozy, enjoyable experience, but be awa...

Bear and Breakfast is a charming and offbeat management sim that combines the relaxing gameplay loop of building and running a business with the cozy, story-rich atmosphere of a woodland adventure. Developed by Gummy Cat and published by Armor Games Studios, it tells the story of Hank, a well-meaning bear who decides to start a bed and breakfast for unsuspecting human guests. At first glance, it might sound like a quirky gimmick, but what unfolds is a surprisingly deep and rewarding experience that carefully balances slow-paced management, lighthearted humor, and a strong narrative undercurrent. It's a game that knows its tone and purpose well, and while it isn’t without some rough edges, it delivers an inviting and unique experience. The gameplay revolves around transforming abandoned shacks, trailers, and old resorts into thriving vacation destinations. Players take control of Hank as he explores different forest biomes, collects materials, crafts furniture, and customizes rooms t...
I very much enjoyed the early-game aspects but by mid to late-game it became kind of grindy and repetitive. I would definitely try it out, as it did amuse me, but you aren’t left with a feeling of completion as you have to keep backtracking to further upgrade your properties which makes it feel almost never-ending in a repetitive way. That said, it is a cute game and a good way to unwind.
Nice game, helps me forget about the irl wheel of capitalism
I am bear that owns an inn. Unlike real life where I own nothing.
lost interest pretty quickly
The controls could be a little smoother. I had to start a second game in order to get the final achievement, but other than that one, it was just challenging enough to keep me interested. A surprisingly deep story for such a simple seeming game. I was expecting there to be a surprise reveal about Hank's dad! Definitely worth playing.
It's a fun game. Cute premise. Does what it needs to well enough. Far from a perfect game, but it's not outrageously expensive and even less so if you catch it on sale or in a "bundle" with a higher quality game. I do have some chief complaints with it, though. Time of day only really matters for respawns and putting guests in rooms as there is no stamina metric. There isn't really a penalty for not sleeping. Which sort of defeats the purpose of having an internal time system, honestly. The only hindrances are cleaning up trash, restocking food and putting guests in vacant rooms. But the only drawback is that you stop making money until you do and room scores drop for current guests. Which most of these problems go away with NPCs you recruit and hire. This almost always makes sleeping not worth while since it gives you no benefit, nor does it counter a negative that I can note. You'll only really use sleeping as a means to move on quickly with nothing left to do early on. Resource ma...
