The Gadget King's gem has been stolen. BOP and BUMP have been summoned to get it back. Follow them on a wild ride through the oceans and the atmosphere in their quest to track down the evil THUMP and return the gem to the Gadget kingdom.

Six levels of the wildest arcade action ever seen on retro games. Use any number of BOP and BUMP's strange but effective defenses necessary to defeat their enemies. But watch out, because most of the inhabitants in this world of mechanical madness have a few surprises of their own.

This game is part of my childhood and it's great to revisit it. That said, I wish they had added alternate controls, because the controls are ROUGH! You can attack in the 4 cardinal direction but to switch direction, there is a single button that switches the direction 90 degrees clockwise. So if you punch and enemy below you then want to punch an enemy to the right, you have to mash the button 3 times! Now, when they were limited to the Genesis controller, with a whole 3 non-movement buttons, they didn't have a lot of options, but this game would be sooooo much better with WASD to move and the arrow keys just attack in that direction.
