Game is fantastic, plays EXACTLY like real-world tournament paintball. Very possible for this game to take off as an e-sport. 11/10 would get bunkered by Shiva Soldier again

This game is amazing. I love paintball and i love VR and this brings the best of both worlds together!
Been playing since early public beta in September 2019. Intense 5v5 matches with individual rounds lasting sometimes just a few seconds. Over 50 community submitted maps keep replayability high. A minute to learn, a lifetime to master. There is a training mode with bots for solo play, but join the discord to get a game going: https://discord.gg/FYuBpu
This game at $20 feels as a VR players must buy. My initial experience was lost, hear me out. As of now there really isn't much guidance or tutorials, however once I had a player join my server and had 45 seconds for them to explain the controls, the game had zero learning curve as it it straight forward. Game can get very competitive and fun very fast with just a few players. Do note the game is intended for multiplayer pvp, so no current ai mode to play games alone are implemented. So waiting for players in the games newly released state may take some time but feels like the community is growing quickly and there is a friendly discord server that exists and is linked easily from the main menu of the game. There are tons of real field layouts and tons more being added by the community with endless possibilities so replay value is tremendous. Also one of those games where gameplay is quick to get into and many games can be played in minimal time, in one hours play time I spent nearly...
What started out as an already great game in its public alpha days has only gotten better with each new build. This game has it all! Fast-paced action. Intricate teamwork & communication. Endless variety of maps. Funky cosmetics. Omnipresent Refbot. Quirky [strike]bugs[/strike] features. The game is much like SUPERHOT in that it has some relatively basic graphics (at the moment anyway) but once you start playing, you will likely barely notice or care at all. There is MASSIVE amounts of replay ability and potential skill ceiling. If you are a paintball player with a VR headset, this is a MUST HAVE! If you are into other VR shooters like pavlov/onward/contractors, this is a nice fresh breath on the FPS genre you should give a definitely give a shot. (hah!) One of the best parts about the game IMO is that there are no "meta's" or otherwise trying to squeeze out the best TTK from ROF/damage of different guns/load-outs. Everyone has the same gear and it is all one shot kills. So if you h...
I've been an Alpha and Beta tester for almost a year while this game was in development, and it is one of the most immersive VR experiences I've ever had. When I'm behind a bunker snap-battling with someone, I feel like I'm out on that paintball field again. The thrill of this 1-shot kill arena combat based on professional paintball blows Onward and Pavlov out of the water.
It's fun with friends, but honestly, It's just too boring. I thought this game would be fun, but after a while, I guess I never really found reasons to go back to playing. For 20$, you're probably better off spending your money elsewhere - and grabbing some better titles.
Feels like a 2016 VR game. The movement is floaty and unnatural, doesn't feel like I have that much control. This is advertised as "like paintball" but the field is pretty much the only thing that resembles it. It's also very buggy, I couldn't get the calibration to work on the gun at all, finding myself holding the gun at very strange angles with no recourse. Also from what I've seen on YouTube, the top players don't hold the gun with two hands making this completely unlike paintball and just plain exploitative and not truly skillful. You have to go to discord to find anyone to play against, besides bots....maybe, if they feel like playing. I'm going to sum up with a quote as old as this game feels...."It's a no for me, dawg".
The pros, -The devs care and will listen to the communities suggestions. -active discord for getting games going and learning. -Community made maps with more and more being made so its never boring. -If you want a map, make it! It really isnt very hard and can be super fun! -Easy to get going and play, but has a high skill cap so a lot of fun to learn mechanics and tactics! -Fast paced, one hit one kill gameplay (my opinion these are the kind of games i like). -many more The cons -Small player base but is growing. -not much else honestly. Like i said earlier the devs are constantly taking community feedback and informing the community through discord of changes and updates (https://discord.gg/FYuBpu). Started playing early development around October 2019 i believe and have had fun watching it grow. Haven't been able to play much because of school but still recommend it when people ask for VR shooters!
I am an Airsoft player, and found out that this game is the closest as you can get to Airsoft in VR! And guess what, this game is the best game for Airsoft and paint ball players out there to go and practice at home, especially in this pandemic situation. I just wish that the developer would make Airsoft weapon mods for this game, so we can play SpeedQB / Speedsoft with all the airsoft attachment and accessories.
