Now that i 100% game on Warrior some time ago, i might have a moral right to post some of my feedback (previously posted on forums) into reviews section: 1. Combat feeling is pretty bad. It is dynamic and responsive, but lacking animation balance of some sort, where you're not getting punished for overlapping stuff. That mostly relates to mobs, NOT Bosses. 2. Bosses are great. Simplistic gameplay design combined with outstanding visuals makes every fight very enjoyable and memorable, even if you cut the boss with certain spam combos in 15 seconds. 3. Learning curve is insane. Im pretty casual player and i tend to avoid hard games, sticking to easy stuff. I had to return later, after some people told me that i just looked at this game under wrong angle and in fact it is pretty easy. And yes, it actually is. Nothing tells you that, however, nor in tutorials or environment. 4. NG+ has flaws due to "no medkits" design pinned in by default. Second Mothers Gift is useless, lot of corners...

The quality of the writing isn't always top-notch: in English there are misspellings and grammatical errors, and the tone in which characters speak can sometimes seem a bit off. But, otherwise this game was great. Be warned however, there really isn't any light to be found... not thematically anyway.

7/10 (Maybe more like 6.8 if i'm being specific). Game has a lot of good: -Art direction and design -Sound design -Combat But also some bad: -Areas feel a bit mazy despite being very linear and empty -Character progression feels meaningless -World-building/story is a bit random/convoluted -Bosses very easy -Lack of I-frames on hit means you do get oneshot sometimes It's a decent soulslike with a lot of potential, a good pick-up on sale for Steam Deck if you have it

I've done everything except NG+ and i had a fantastic time playing this game. I didn't mind the healing system at all, as long as you play it well enough and use the right upgrades like the one that gives you two shards when you get hit, it becomes a nonissue. While the dialogue can be a bit iffy at times, the visuals, atmosphere, and music more than made up for it to me. The combat is pretty varied and there are a bunch of different methods you can use to absolutely shred some of the tougher bosses which was really fun to figure out. There is no map and trying to remember where places are or navigate properly can be confusing and I can see why a lot of people have had issues with that but I didn't mind getting lost in the game. Overall, 4.5/5 for me.

I can tell this game was made with so much love. The pixel art is gorgeous. The sound design is pretty good. Unfortunately, the flow and pacing sucks. I was struggling to get anywhere because I felt bored and understimulated. It's a shame.

Way too dark / restrictive on the camera. Very same-y visual design.

This game is your typical, Souls-like, pattern based fighter. You are encouraged to be far more aggressive than you'd usually expect, as enemies by themselves aren't very threatening, however they come at you in swarms. The counter system is charged through successful hits, so if you're not stabbing, you're not surviving. The karma system seems to have confused some people, but it's really not that hard to understand. Don't tell people to do shit that will get them executed, don't tell them to give up, offer help where you can, and don't be mean to children. Basically, if you're a good person in real life, it should be very apparent what choices to make to increase your karma. Whereas, if you are the type to riot in support of letting rapists out of prison because of their skin color, you might struggle with some of the choices. Karma is drained by using medkits and doors to skip portions of the level or just being an asshole to random strangers. Death does not reduce it, and you wi...
