The visual novel "Mystery at Stonyford Bridge" is a well-written, emotional conspiracy / teen detective story with a focus on friendship and human relations. You play as Grey, who returns from his first university term to celebrate Christmas with his family and friends in a small, peaceful town where nothing bad ever happens. Two days later he learns that his closest friend, a girl with a cheerful and optimistic personality, has apparently committed suicide. Grey and his friends have doubts and investigate on their own, which gradually spins out of control. I found the plot very interesting. There is constant suspense and mystery due to two conflicting notions - one is the suspicion about a conspiracy to cover something up, and the other is that Grey might just be going crazy. There is clear evidence that there isn't everything right with Grey, but there are also many indicators that there is indeed something odd going on in this town. I developed several theories during my playthroug...

This story is really well written, and it is criminal that it has not got more attention. I am only a few hours in but I am completely gripped by the mystery. I also really like how you can interact with the backgrounds a little to find extra information instead of just reading text on the screen. It makes it feel more like we are conducting an investigation ourselves rather than just reading a story. I like the artwork as well, its a lot better than mine for sure, but its simple style seems to really fit this small isolated town. I don't care much for the music unfortunately, that is mostly just personal preference. The Piano work does sound very good, I just prefer a different kind of music. Edit: After finishing the story I have to say the music really started to grow on me, and what a brutal ending. I had my suspicions but it was way worse than what I expected. Top quality writing

This game made me cry multiple times and the ending is a mind f*ck, holy crap. I definitely recommend this short game. Took me just around 2 hours of total playthrough, but can be replayed with different choices made. I think I got the most effed up ending the first time though.
