About This Game

A rhythm game that allows you to play any song on the piano in different ways. EasyPianoGame uses MIDI files. Songs in MIDI files are very common and you can easily find the one you need.
At the moment, the game has 2 game modes:

Falling Notes mode

This mode uses MIDI files to auto-generate a large number of note patterns with various customizable difficulties and numbers of keys. Notes fall from top to bottom and the player will have to press the correct key for that specific note in time.

  • Сustomize the difficulty to suit your skills.
  • Play in 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 key modes.

EasyPiano mode

This mode uses a simple musical notation that anyone can figure out. Start playing your favorite piano songs by sheet music using just 8 PC keyboard keys.

  • Play in a unique way - Play the piano fully in a simple and convenient way, using only 8 keys of the PC keyboard instead of 88. In order to play your favorite melody, you don’t need to think and remember which key to press. Leave it to the computer – press any key.
  • Learn to play notes - EasyPianoGame uses an original interface based on standard musical notation, only without the pitch of notes. This allows you to understand the reading of notes in just a couple of minutes.

I can't recommend this game at this point. Overall the game looks quite promising. But at the moment the game is not polished enough for the price tag. The game feels very awkward. The freedom allowed in being able to play the notes whenever you like is ultimately holding the game back. There was many time where a note was wrongly triggered and put my timing completely off. The game would be much better if the notes could only be triggered in a certain window around when the actual note takes place (perhaps this could be only in metronome mode). I look forward to seeing the game improve.

I love it! I am already really impressed with the game in its current state and I've been having a blast. I look forward to seeing this game improve in the future. Edit: Game is definitely abandoned. A shame. I find the game is very susceptible to lag and with the overly harsh judgement system wind up 'missing' notes I didn't miss. Wish that could get fixed but alas.

I just want to stick this up on here to get the author some more views. I bought this a little ago, and am shortly about to get right into it large. So I will give just an initial observation that both IT AND another similar yet older program Synthesia would have to IMHO be considered the very best gamerified piano learning apps in existence. Seriously, even that one has limitations as far as I know in that you have to have a MIDI...this here gives you total freedom, you can use the 8 keys of a qwerty...hows that for cool :) So I will get back to this review fairly sure to buff it as I gain more exp...yet I would like the DEV to get some recognition for their fine work, you can tell a lot of effort (3 years) went into the product!

Really fun and the midi support gives endless possibilities. I was sceptical about the pattern generation at first, but it's really well done. The sound is one of the best digital piano sounds I've ever heard. As someone who plays a lot of rhythm games competitively and for fun, I can tell you it has most of the features you'll need and is unique enough that it's worth the try. Don't bother looking at any negative reviews before 3 november 2020 since it's got a mayor update fixing a lot of problems and adding a lot of new stuff. definitely worth a try if you want something new or like piano games.

Nope, not yet. Right now it's just simple Midi files player. It shows you notes, allows you to press any key that moves cursor. You hear music, you hear your note and that's it. Nothing more. It's not even a game. It looks like unfinished student's project. BTW everything is so small on high res screens on default settings.

I guess it's up to me to leave an English review? The software's basic for $5.99 and could use some tweaks, but since it's in Early Access I'm sure any bugs/features will be ironed out by solid release. I happen to have tons of .mid files, but in most cases you can find them free online. Overall, buy it now if you're really into this sort of product, but waiting a bit for more features won't kill ya. Another note: Unlike Synthesia, this game is more rhythm-based. It'll use sheet music that you can read, and try and put their respective keys, but it's not necessary. It's more about training your left/right hands to do different sections off of their rhythms, something I struggle with playing keyboard. Good product for a one-man-job, looking forward to future updates from the dev.

The auto chart for midi's in this game is INSANELY good since you can always make changes for it to adapt to your skill level, though the ability for adding a sound file to play instead of the actual midi is something I kind of missed from it... The piano mode itself (not the falling notes) is okay to train hand coordination... Overall this game is great, although simple, if a bigger mania game had this midi import system I could see it getting insanely popular, this game is just underrated and it pains me to see it on "Mixed" reviews

The best about this music game is you could put your own favourite piano music (in midi file) and play, although that cost your effort to get the midi file but it is definitely worth it.
