This is apparently the 1.1 update, but so much of this game still feels like it's in early access. That's not to say I dislike the game, I have 40 hours on my save file and plan to squeeze out around a dozen more before taking a break until there's more to do (if there's ever more to do). But I'd be disingenuous to suggest I'm not a little disappointed by the buggy, somewhat hollow experience on offer here. I bought Snacko thinking that it was going to scratch the Stardew Valley itch for me, and while it vaguely fills that role, it has more in common with ACNH than Stardew. But the big place where the game really misses the mark for me compared to those two titles is in its pacing. While Stardew and Animal Crossing both do a great job maintaining a steady pace throughout, Snacko really struggles with the start and stop. You'll complete a dozen quests in a single day, then get stuck on making any progress because it's not the right season for the crop you need and nobody is sel...

> promise myself and my bf that i won't be buying any more new games > download the demo > 20 minutes later the full game is in my library The game is very cute, characters very endearing, and the controls are easy to navigate. A small detail is that the UI and font design is very easy on the eyes -- this might not be a big deal for some but feels as though it makes the game more accessible. Building shops is also simple; the blueprints take the ingredients from your storage so no need to run back and forth with items.
i really thought i was gonna LOVE this game because i love games just like it. but i'm so disappointed, the configurations for controller are just so bad. to use anything feels like its 3 buttons when other games just like this, i click 1 button to get to my rucksack or whatever it may be. like SNACKO DEVS PLEASE MAIKE THE D PAD USEFUL TO EFFICIENTLY ACCESS THE RUCKSACK, MAP, QUESTS PAGE, LITERALLY ANYTHING gosh this was so unnecessarily difficult of a layout on controller for NO REASON. they only wanna use A B X Y and bumpers bsffr... and don't even try learning the lay of the land, the map is horrible, no sense of direction or help in finding anything. i wandered for 59 minutes exactly, just trying to find the first few quests and didn't complete any. i've never had difficulties completing quests or navigating a map in any other game but even trying to get to the quests screen is frustrating... getting to ANYTHING is frustrating in this game. i was soooooo excited to try this out but...
I enjoy the amount of requests and the ability to place buildings and items freely. I haven't gotten too far into the main story as I've been working on checking off quests. The style of the game is cute and pixel with easy controls. It does take some time to get use to the crafting system and the placing/editing system, but once I got it down I've been having fun setting up my town. I've only unlocked the carpenter, grocery store, and animal keeper as of now, but I'm excited to play more! Saving is quick and convenient too which is great when I only have a few minutes to play.
Forgot Brevity is the soul of wit.
Such a sweet and cute cozy game. Perfect for me. Anyone who loves cozy games and world builders will love this game. I bought it today and havent been able to stay off it. 7 hours of play in one day is a sign your game is incredible!

I've always lamented how more farming and village esque games don't let you actually renovate the town you're meant to be revitalizing. Snacko let's you do exactly that, tearing down the old buildings and putting up new ones. The building mode is pure freedom. Adorable, good QOL updates, lots of customization, addictive mining system - what are you waiting for?
★★★★☆ TL;DR: Super fun, and lots to do! Can be a little overwhelming sometimes though. I've been so pleasantly surprised by this game! I've had my eye on it for a looooong time, but wanted to wait until it was finally out of early access to pull the trigger. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy the game but it's been so much fun! ✿ PROS: You will never run out of things to do! Not only is this game so cute but it's seriously cram packed with quests and activities. I've barely touched the main storyline honestly because I've been running around doing other stuff. And I LOVE how the mining system is set up in this game. I've played lots of framing sim games with mining and this is by far my favorite. No loss of progress when you leave for the day, you can sleep anywhere you want so I can stay in the mines for days at a time if I want to, and being able to drill with your little car has been SO fun. ✿ CONS: There are... so many details. Crafting can be a major pain, my...
