I've purchased Daft Day Sports: Pro Football 2016, 2018, 2020. I couldn't play the 16 & 18. Wolverine Studio's finally got it right. If you have been looking to a true football sim, this is the game. Just watch a video or two for help and visit the Wolverine Studio website for good user guides.

Overall, this is the best football coach game currently out there. There are a number of faults with it, but it has a good user interface and is relatively fun. I love the 2D game viewer and highlights each week, but it is very buggy. QBs always seem to not see wide open WRs almost every play, and the DBs always catch up to the WRs even when the WRs are much faster statistically. Also when the QB walks out of the back of the endzone the play continues and he just disappears instead of it being a safety. The ratings are also too high, every player seems to be 80+, and there should be more distinction between star players and others. There is also LOADS of 90+ rated FBs for some reason. However, I would say if you are looking for a football coach game this is the best you're going to get.
Don't buy. the game crashes all the time. Steam won't give a refund. Nice customer service
I recommend this game to only the biggest fans of American Football simulators, This is one of the only two big series I can find, the other being front office football. the problem with this game is it takes a while to get into it. you finish a season in front office football in minutes, one season on this sim of a season may take 40-60 minutes, because of things such as the user interface. I also wish I could find an option,(if there is one) to sim the mvp award or sim the front office gms stats, I don't like the idea of having a choice for 4-6 different options and setting an age. It would be okay if they had an easy to find way to randomize those stats or have some noticable way to increase them during game. the problems can be summed up all in the organization aspect of the user interface. The games simulation itself is better than front office football as in simulation it recognizes the players as chips instead of just a football. the draft is a lot more fun visually. the idea of...
It's unifinished game (at least I hope so). Usability is terrible - one example to sign a new contract with your player you need to offer him starting offer (wtf does player wich button do? Is it really random?), then you'll get an email that player want more money or longer contract and instead just pressing a button to go back to negotiation window, with previous valious, you need to go back to roset, find a player, remember what was you offer last time and improve it. Can you imagine that when you need to do that for ~15 players every year? In general usability sucks. Please improve it. If you need any exeamples - please check Football Manager which is by far best sports simulation game in the world. Other than that It has potential but needs a lot more work done. I hope everyone that has bought this game will get finihed version for free as selling whatever you are selling now is a disgrace.
Maybe in a few years this game will be different - but right now it's just a very poor quality sim game. Very unrealistic simulation results, very user-unfriendly interface. It feels like a beta. Immediately refunded. PS: take notes from OOTP.
Has its flaws, and the UI certainly isn't the easiest one to absorb, but behind that there's a pretty addictive manager game with a LOT of options to customize the game. And the 2D match engine is actually fun to watch!
Good game, real solid simulator for what has to be one of the more complex games to simulate, trade AI is decent (again, another tough thing to pull off) and the statistics generated match up well with real life. Relatively immersive, and the screens handle the unholy amount of customization available pretty well as far as sports sim games go. I have two main gripes - one, the financial data isn't set properly by default. If you start a game with existing rosters and the default financial setup, you end up with a *tonne* of real good players getting released before the season. Requires some manual tweaking to get right, should be set up that way by default. Two - if you watch the play creator in the videos above, you seem to be able to set up to three actions per player - if you're an "Xs and Os" type of guy you'll be disappointed to learn that the game itself only seems to allow one action. Shouldn't be advertising features that don't exist guys! But aside from that, solid game! ...
I asked for a refund. You must be serious 30 euros?!?!? For such a game is really not okay.
You have very little control over the little things during a game... and when the game finishes it just immediately dumps you out to the main screen without warning. If you or the other team are driving for the win... you only know when looking at the score on the manager page. Way too many long kick returns. Contract negotiations are absolutely horrible. The text is too small, even for someone with good eyesight. Would request a refund but I've played it for 'too long' giving it a chance. Oh well.
