About This Game

It was once your grandfather’s pride-and-joy, but your family ranch has fallen on hard times and it’s up to you to turn things around. Sitting in a remote forested valley, the dilapidated homestead will test all your abilities as you attempt to turn it into the most prosperous ranch in the region – either alone or in up to four player co-op multiplayer.
Rebuild Your Ranch
The years have not been kind to your family ranch and it will take time and money to restore it to its former glory. Buy tools from the local hardware store and purchase a range of vehicles from the garage to help with your rebuilding projects. Renovate the main house, decide what livestock you want to farm and construct the barns, pens and runs you’ll need to keep them safe and secure.
Look After Your Livestock
Grand building projects are one thing. Paying for them? That’ll come down to your ranching skills. Overseeing a profitable operation is all about the day-to-day. Once you’ve selected and taken on your livestock, regular feeding and watering will keep them healthy. Successful breeding and careful rearing of the young will help boost the numbers in your herds and flocks — and the more produce you have to sell, the more income you’ll receive for all that hard work.
Expand your ranch enterprise by farming crops, producing sausages and cheese and even training and selling horses.
Head Out on the Hunt
There’s a large open-world environment outside your cosy homestead and it’s teeming with wildlife. So when you feel like slowing the pace, why not grab your trusty rifle and head out into the forest to stalk deer and hunt bears? But remember, the wilderness lives by its own laws and you aren’t the only skilled hunter in the neighbourhood. Sometimes your steady hand and sharp eyes will also be needed back on the ranch to stop hungry wolves turning your off-grid dream into a nightmare.

It just feels so clunky and unfinished, and so lifeless in so many areas.
I personally had a hard time with this game with I played it. It definitely needs to be worked on. I was told that it would be fun but I honestly couldn't get into the game. The graphics and controls are confusing to me and I can't find things that I needed. There was no good guidance at all. I hope that the company can improve this game the idea is there. Its just not really ready for players.
The game is fun and enjoyable honestly, but the graphics and the movement make you feel dizzy 🤢
What this game, if you can call it that, makes it sound like you can do versus what you can actually do are wildly different. There is a distinct lack of depth or incentive to continue playing. It's just "wallet balance go up." No survival mechanics except sleep, but that's just so you can skip nighttime. Some things do not progress during sleep, such as cheese aging, which is thoroughly annoying. Bears and coyotes attack you, but you can't die so there's no peril or need to approach with strategy. More broadly, the hunting is shallow at best. Drive along, see animal, hop out of moving vehicle and just blast em. The world feels empty and dead. There's a town but 90% of the buildings are static. NPC cars on the road are lifeless and uncaring. Some shops that you can go into have NPCs but they just tell you to interact with the sales terminal, so why even have them? Vehicle physics are janky in a frustrating yet silly way. You can get new vehicles but there's no real reason to. Customiza...
Ranch Simulator could have been a brilliant game with loads of potential, but unfortunately the developers don’t really seem to care about it and give very little information about updates. The game is full of bugs, and the driving mechanics are also really poor. My mate and I played for about 60 hours, but we ended up getting bored because we’d maxed everything out and there wasn’t really anything left to do. We also tried the Southwest DLC, but it’s an absolute waste of money – nobody should buy it. Apart from the new map, it doesn’t actually offer anything new. Overall, the base Ranch Simulator could be a good game, but it would be so much better if the developers actually put proper effort into it and expanded the content.
This game is so astonishingly empty and devoid of life it is actually depressing. Going into town and seeing zero humans really gives you a sense that this is heavily unfinished. I think there is some potential here, but I'd recommend working on the depth of the game rather than the breadth.
this game has never worked its full of bugs don't waste your money every time they update something i have to start a new farm it glitches and breaks all the time and things just stop working the mechanics are feeble and i"m very upset with this purchase.
This game is a prime example of realism getting in the way of enjoyment; On one hand I understand they wanted to make certain things realistic, but on the other hand it's still a game and unfortunately they've sacrificed fun for a more realistic but tedious grind that just goes on forever. I would normally be a bit more sympathetic to a game as buggy and clanky as this - if it were early access, but despite the long-known issues they've not only called it finished but also released DLC (The content of which is minimal and really ought to have been part of the base game anyway.) Ranch Sim has huge potential - they could've done so much more with it, but it really just felt like a chore to play.
The bones are there. If you get it for $5 it's worth it. It's definitely not worth full price. There are a ton of bugs that need fixing. You'll get insane fps drops when there are to many dead animals on the ranch, ai cars constantly rubberbanding and smashing into you, anytime you drop a tree or skin an animal it'll lag you out and glitch your toon all over the screen, and random holes in the ground that will get your vehicle stuck for literally no reason. The driving is so bad it's almost funny. Please for the love of god when I press the gas, just let the car go..no need to redline it before it takes off. The animal care is fun, the building is ok. Like I said, the bones are there. It just needs some serious optimization.
