Persona 4 Golden is one of those games that you'd wish to play again for the first time. It has a rich cast of characters that build a charming dynamic, making this game an unforgettable experience. Paired with a great ensemble of characters is an interesting murder investigation in a sleepy Japanese town that I hope is not spoiled to any newcomers. The social links in this game are some of the best in the entire series, and the official soundtrack is a Shoji Meguro masterclass. Some parts of the game may feel dated such as the dungeon crawling and the user interface, but overall isn't much of a big deal. Completing this game in other platforms years ago did not stop me for sinking another 150 hours in the Steam version. This game simply has this special atmosphere that would make you feel at home. This is definitely one of the pinnacles in the JRPG genre.

Persona 4 Golden is a game with a comforting and emotional story that teaches us to discover who we really are and confronting who we are beneath the surface and learning to accept the truth instead of hiding who we are deep down. I hope Atlus doesn't mess up with P4R because this game alone is already a masterpiece despite it being very old! Never More~
if i could do my life over again, i would have first play this game. i loved the true crime elements and the story line. i played 90 hours in 1.3 week cause i was that invested. this game allowed me to be the many things i couldn't be in real life. a superhero, a straight-a student, a lover, an athlete, an actor, an musician, a brother, a nephew and most notably a good friend. i leave this game not knowing whats next in my life, but knowing even if its through digital form, i am not only capable of being said things, but i can achieve and truly experience my life ahead. truly a life changing game that i will always hold close to me and that i hope people take a chance on it.
Having been introduced to the Persona series through P5R I was very interested to try out P4G given that it was a lot more accessible than P3 on PC. I started my first playthrough a couple of years ago but due to how dated P4G felt in comparison to P5R I struggled to get invested which led to me putting the game on hold around 2/3s into it, and then P3R came out which led me to playing that instead. I came back to P4G about two months ago and decided to start a new playthrough so I could experience it before P4R comes out and I'm happy to say that I enjoyed it a lot more than the first time I tried it. Since I had played through P5R a couple of times as well as P3R it meant that I was a lot more familiar with the game mechanics, especially Persona fusions, which helped me get into P4G as I find that learning curves often demotivate me when it comes to trying new games. I fully agree with what people say about P4 having the best cast as they truly feel like a group of friends who ha...
Even though the remake is coming out in a few years, I would still reccomend buying this game especially since it's not $60.
I like the story... but honestly, some achievements are tooooooo difficult to obtain. I gave up.
Persona 4 Golden has plenty of flaws, but despite them, I really enjoyed my time with it. The story, the characters, and the gameplay—while not perfect—come together in a way that’s both memorable and emotional. One of my favorite aspects was the protagonist’s relationship with the Dojimas. Their little family dynamic stood out as one of the most genuine parts of the game. The main group’s relationships are mostly strong too, though the writing sometimes leans too hard into unfunny comedy. The beach and hot springs episodes, along with Yosuke and Teddie’s pervy behavior, didn’t land for me at all. Hopefully these moments get toned down—or cut entirely—in the remake. That said, watching each character confront and accept their shadow was powerful, and those awakenings were some of my favorite moments in the game. Not all characters were great. I couldn’t bring myself to care about
Marie
and rescuing her, but had to push through it for ...
Meh... I'm bored from repetitiveness. I guess I would have enjoyed this game more if I was younger a few decades. I will definitely finish this game because I'm curious about the ending but I find myself hard to convince. I need longer and longer pauses between game sessions. The combat is interesting but because the long and boring dungeons (I don't like dungeon crawling) I find myself skipping battles and try to avoid it by running past demons. The same corridors and doors. Silly looking demons. But characters need the grind so I force myself to do it. Companions are nice but as an adult I can't really resonate with them. The music is sometimes nice but not much variation and in some dungeons it's just annoying. Quests are fetch quests and the rewards don't really worth the grind. At first I tried to complete them but I realized it's not worth the effort. I feel I put in this already too much time but I want to finish the story. I like build crafting so I restarted the story a few...
Persona 4 golden is a great game mainly due to the story and characters unfortunately every so often you are dragged away from the good stuff to walk around boring ass dungeons that are all the same hallways and rooms over and over.
Empecé a jugar esto por la enfermiza cantidad de memes de Persona en Sonic Brainrot. Ahora me arrepiento de no haber empezado a jugar antes este juego. Jugabilidad a lo FFX, altos personajazos y muchos memes.
