Though i just started I got to say this is a great game, I also love the cooking its so cute being small! Runs smooth and works well on steam deck.

About This Game
Calico is meant to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The gameplay reflects that with a laid back, low stress creative environment to explore and play in.
Character Creator
The Calico character creator will allow players to create their own magical person to experience the world through. There will also be plenty of clothing to choose from and collect throughout the game!
All Animals are Interactive!
The player will encounter many animals in the world of Calico. Once befriended, you can name them, add them to your party, or send them to their new home at the café. Animals in your party will follow you everywhere you go and listen to your commands. The animals in your café will relax and play with any customers that pop in for a visit.
Café Decoration
Your task in Calico is to bring the town's café back to life again. This isn’t just achieved by bringing in cats and animals alone, however – you can also decorate your café with furniture of different styles to create the perfect cozy home for you and your animals!
Cooking Minigame
Create a wonderful café by making yummy baked goods and drinks for the townspeople! Learn about your follow villagers to pick and choose their favorite foods to sell!
Magic of Calico
We wanted there to be no limits to how you could find happiness in Calico. Magic potions are a system that allow us to break the rules of what is possible and to find what would be most fun. Example: the More-to-pet Potion allows the player to magically turn a single animal giant-sized! You can hang out with a giant animal, or even ride a giant cat!

Pick up cute animals & wiggle~ wiggle~(〜^∇^ )〜
Clunky UI and poorly designed controls made this game feel unpleasant to navigate. A tutorial of sorts on how to get through the menus might help because none of it is intuitive.
It's a fun chill game I really enjoy it there is so much you can do! I love the style of everything the animals are so cute :3
Highly Enjoyable Cozy Game! I played and finished this game quicker than I had expected but really loved it. Its really adorable, I adore the cats and the cute story, but mostly the cats. The customization to your own personal aesthetic is very nice and lets you really make yourself at home in the game. Definitely plan to return when i need something cute and cozy.
A very sweet game with adorable graphics, adorable characters, and adorable little guys. The music and audio are very pretty, and the singing that comes in every so often for the theme for the cafe is too :)) All around a lovely game <3
This is a very pleasant game. It's peaceful and a joy to play. I love the characters and their interactions. They and the animals are so cute! This game has the most unique cooking mechanic I've ever seen and it's a delight! While it is a great game, some downsides include: - Clarity of instructions of basic actions are lacking. I had to look up tutorials on: 1) How to remove a design (the second I click on designs to look at them I'm stuck with one) 2) How to get out of furniture mode (you click the button that says "furniture" to go back into person mode) 3) How to get an animal out of inventory/off my head. 4) How to change clothes. (When trying to change colors of wearable items, sometimes I couldn't get the color to save, or when the color would take, it would wind up being darker and more vibrant than the preview.) - Why is "sound" separate from "settings" in the pause menu? - The music is nice at first, but becomes very annoyingly repetitive after a very short while. I wish...
i always feel weird reviewing a game that i honestly enjoy, while simultaneously not really recommending it. perhaps this is another "maybe" from me, but because i can only click "yes" or "no" i must click no. as i said, i like calico. i think the art is adorable, the world is so cute, and i'm obsessed with wiggling, putting on head, petting, just interacting with the animals🐈🐈⬛!! :3 i liked decorating my cafe as well, i just enjoy decorating broadly. but that ends the good things i can say about it. the quests were mainly ehh, just fetch quests mostly. the controls felt off on both keyboard and controller, i couldn't really get either of them to be functional. while it recommends controller, i ended up just using my keyboard (i have an xbox controller.) and i just, never got certain parts of customization to work at all. getting around always felt like a chore. and honestly? so many people talked about how they love the cooking minigame; that had to be my LEAST favorite p...
Its a cute game but does not work very well on keyboard and mouse. They want u to use controller but i HATE controllers. Its fun but it is a bit wonky.
I love this game with my whole heart.
