[i]Crime Cities[/i] is more of a 3D meaningless space shooter than a "futuristic vehicle simulator" as much of its design is heavily inspired by [i]Descent³[/i] yet lacks the entertainment value to rival said game and [b]did not[/b] provide anything revolutionary for its time due to its generical gameplay and sterile atmosphere. In contemporary times, players will have to tolerate a dated user interface that has not been optimized for modern resolutions (1920 x 1080), resulting in the ship's interior on the screen being just barely readable. Aside from the hideous technical aspects, the video game centers around the player accepting hackneyed contracts to progress the story and earn enough money to replenish their shield and weaponry, as each contract usually spawns nearly a dozen enemies that take up far more time and effort than they are worth.
