About This Game

Welcome to the land of Providence. The Wheel of Fate has chosen you to be its Avatar and save the world.

Fate is the force that connects all beings, maintaining order in the universe, while an ancient enemy known as The Affliction thrives on chaos. As it spreads throughout the cosmos it severs the threads of Fate’s connection, turning those it infects into deranged beings known as The Fateless. And in this battle, The Affliction is winning. So, The Wheel of Fate must pull back its shroud and reveal itself in the land of Providence and choose an Avatar to act through; a champion to fight the Fateless hordes and find the secret to defeating the Affliction. You are that champion, the Avatar of the Wheel of Fate!

This is classic RPG at it’s finest! Start by customizing the race, gender, appearance, and class of your adventurer. Then step right into a battle!

In retro RPG style, you can focus on your strategy in the turn-based battles. And then we gave you a click-time enhancement upgrade, so you can use your well-honed gamer reflexes and increase the damage of your attack and defence.

As you adventure, you’ll collect tons of loot, run dungeons, complete quests, craft better equipment, and of course, level up. Customize your character build to maximize your preferred gameplay style and get OP.

To defeat The Affliction you will need to open areas long since sealed away that can only be accessed by a shift in reality. Nothing to it right? As the Avatar you have the power to spin the Wheel of Fate and change reality and the world around you. The changes are random and can affect everything: Quests, Difficulty, NPCs, Stores, Maps, Dialogue, Easter Eggs; right down to the ambient lighting!

Wheel of Fate uses an innovative Artificial Intelligence that acts as the Dungeon Master. It sits quietly in the background and learns about how you like to play.

As the AI learns your preferred style it makes slight adjustments to adapt the gameplay without you noticing. It has a wide range of options to change including loot, environment, storylines, quests, NPCs, dialogue, and random events. The next time you play it might change things in a whole new way as it learns more about how you like to game.

But if that all wasn’t enough, Wheel of Fate has hidden Easter eggs everywhere! As a reward for your hard work exploring the world, we have hidden tons of references to retro games & pop culture from the 80’s and 90’s.

Changing & adapting gameplay depending on your decisions, so choose wisely! Come at the game from a totally different angle next time and watch the world adjust. Ultra-cool dungeon master AI that adapts the game to you.

Get all the cool RPG stuff like levelling, classes, dungeons, quests, equipment, and crafting! All important and thrilling side quests that you won’t want to miss - because who doesn’t need a little more loot? Loot you say? With billions of gear combinations, build your character how you want.

Classic turn-based combat with an Active Response Battle system - it’s a quick time enhancement - so your well-honed gamer reflexes already give you an advantage.

Kismet’s Fall will become your town to manage and defend. Upgrade buildings and prepare for sieges. Speaking of Kismet’s Fall - get your own digs! Build and customize your own home.

New dungeons that are AI-procedurally created every time the wheel is spun. And much more!

I am no good at twitch. I look for turn-based games so that I don't have to twitch. But you are required to play a twitch mini-game in order to execute any attack or defense. It requires very precise timing, and not in a "fun rhythm game" kind of way. If I'd know that I would never have bought it. Maybe this review can help others who don't like that sort of twitch mechanic to avoid wasting money.

I will say that game has a good foundation in terms of engaging mechanics and the developers have been very helpful, but it could use another year of development. The current build only has about 4 hours of main story content, assuming you don't encounter multiple sotlocks. Unfortunately, this might be the most unstable game I ever played in my life, I have never seen so many polish issues - every 2 minutes there is a new UI bug or some kind of visual problem. It's a very ambitious RPG for an indie developer because they have multiple complex systems, including town management, fate management, QTE-based combat system, party system, crafting system, and visible gear with multiple character classes - not to mention all of the generic features that come with a traditional RPG like the skills, story and loot balancing. Now the game technically has some randomization for replay value, however, right now the content is not relevant because you can easily outscale all of the enemies, making ...

This is game is full of bugs, from quests not showing up, to black screen, to item not giving what they say they would (eg: picking up zodiac scrolls but not getting credit for it)... it is fun but unfinished... too bad

Cant recommend at this state. It is full of gamebreaking bugs that you encounter as soon as you start looting stuff. The map is a mess too. It has potential but needs a few patches. I wonder why this is not marked as Early Access, it clearly is.

I really liked this game. There was a glitch maybe where there were no descriptions for items or stats but halfway through the first part they appeared. It took a little bit for me to get used to the combat system but picked it up quickly after the first two or so combats. Other than that the game looked great and handled well. The music and story was pretty good as well. I would for sure recommend this. If you want to watch my play through check out the link below. https://youtu.be/vCVpV6-1kj8

Really a fun game. There are some good and bad aspects as should be expected with any game in early access. I have had a couple of bugs that broke the game and I had to start a new one or revert to a previous save. I'm sure these will be ironed out over time. I am a undecided on the timed button press mechanic. It can be awesome when I get the timing right and stack up the damage or annoying that I need to keep my hand on the keyboard all the time and get the smack down from missing a defense press. My suggestion there would be to utilize something with musical rhythm so there is more than a purely visual cue. Overall, this game is definitely fun for short spurts. Not sure if I could stand doing exactly the same fight sequences again and again for many hours at a time. There is room for growth, however and I have every expectation that the development team will keep expanding this game. I will check often for updates and it is certainly worth giving it some love.

Been playing wheel of fate for a couple hours now and so far I like it a lot. The story is immersive and quite unique. I really enjoy the graphics, in particular the character design is not run of the mill. The wheel and dungeon design is awesome. This game does take time to get used to but is really fun once you get the hang of it. It is certainly not easy which I appreciate. What I like most about this game is the random experience generation, as depicted by the spinning of the wheel of fate. With a spin it completely changes the experience, from town to dungeon, monsters and drops. It also changes how difficult the game is to play. The items and weapons are also really cool. Nice effects on the equipment! I know I will be playing this game for many hours more!!

I'm loving this game! The battle system reminds me of games like Mario RPG, Legend of Dragoon, and Grandia! The graphics are nostalgic for me, if you liked any of the older RPG's and JRPG's you will find them endearing. The best part of me is spinning the wheel. I like going to the stores and seeing what's new. I could feel the A.I working, one of my characters was really aggressive and I got 2 conflict runes in a row with lots of weapons spawning and tougher creatures in the Labyrinth. Then on another character I purposely chose options I felt a crafter would choose because I want to dig into crafting more. The wheel has given me all kinds of crafting materials.. maybe it's just me and it's a little early but I really like how the game adapted to my play! I'm really liking the environment changes each wheel spin.. it feels really different each time. I like the story I found some of the background lore and thought it was a very interesting story. Although I think it cou...

Nice game! I'm definitely waiting for more content, but it's a solid foundation, and it's already highly enjoyable. I'll update this review once I have more playtime, but I can see myself playing this one for quite a long time!
