Surprised me at how excellent it was. Visuals and audio/music are top-notch throughout, and despite not looking like a combat-oriented game at first glance, the boss fights are some of the best I've played in a long time. Level and puzzle design are also kept to a great standard. I played at 'Adventure' difficulty for the whole game (then fought the final boss again at the hardest difficulty for an achievement) and found it provided a decent but still manageable challenge. The story was pretty good. There's a great deal of text and lore for any looking for it, and having seen all of it myself I can say it was mostly worth it. There's lots of text that reinforces the same concepts as other texts, but all of it added up in the end to build a picture of this bleak world quite well. A final note for any achievement hunters like myself: there are 30 'collectables' you'll notice scattered around the map.
