Imagine Slay the Spire but you can't remove strikes or defends from your deck, and theres a timer counting down, that's pretty much what this is. Art direction is nice and all but gameplay wise they don't have much going on creatively. Gets repetitive quickly, you'll have your "deck" set up by the end of the first floor so then you just skip by everything till the end.

I think it's very charming but the pacing for 1 run is about 2 hours. Some ability status confuse me. One status will burn the enemy and then on the next turn, half of it will fall off. You can +1 power yourself but it isn't clear if it's going to last for the rest of the battle or for only that one turn. I am like 50/50, yes and no, with the game so far. ----- [edit] There's a Question Mark icon on the top right that will explain most of the game mechanics. Burn does drop half its value. [Edit 2] I understand my frustration now. This game doesn't have preview damage. When you click on a skill, and you expect do X damage, but you get Y. I have this skill called Blockbuster. It uses your block value to deal X damage. And when my block value was like 50+, I was expecting to do 50 damage, and instead, I do 1 damage because of some other mechanic that I am not aware of. This is like basic Slay the Spire stuff that not in the game. And the buff and debuff system have some h...
This game is one of the most well written, easily accessible card game rouge like rpgs i've played in a long time, with a very flexible combat system, and amazing inside jokes and humour, the dev team are constantly sending out updates due to player feedback and has been a game in my radar for the last 3ish years and has changed dramatically in that time. weather it comes to constant free game play updates like new bosses, new talents and skill tweaks, new difficulty modes, flexible game-play, amazing pixel art and music, this game fantastically captures the stresses and anxieties of working in corporate game development and constantly has you laughing during every run. i couldn't give higher praise and this game deserves all the love it has gotten and more. this game is 20 dollars Canadian for crying out loud, easily worth your money.
i want her to crush my industry if you know what i mean
If you like Earthbound and like roguelites, this is your game. If your like roguelites but know squat about Earthbound, this is still probably your game (you should play it anyways). Very studied aesthetics, a lot of good music (like the Earthbound series), optional real-time mechanics and a very cohesive and unique visual-sound-game experience. Maybe not so full of content as others (very small developer), but what is there is excellent. Bonus points if you are a software developer, this is a very harsh parody of the sad state of the development, gaming and corporate worlds.
I like it, its fun. I usually dont play card based games, but this one is really fun and the current internet culture refrences are fun. You might chuckle even at some. Characters are fun, bosses are too. Its challenging in a good rewarding way not a i hit you with a pan in a god mode type of thing. Graphics is fun all is intuitive and good to understand, really good game to drink your morning coffee to.
Charming art and a fun rogue like overall. Wish there was a way to get unlocks without brutally killing the lock or having it Oregon trail itself.
banger
This game gave me a panic attack on the final boss when I was low on health and begged for more afterwards
Fun game - like the deck building, the art, and the humor.
