Can't launch the game because I have to sign into XBox Live (on a windows account that I'm logged into already everytime I boot up my PC) and after entering all the details and confirming a Code via Email it greys out and does nothing. Thanks Microsoft.

Campaign was 75% running around an empty open world. Gears 1-3 was the OG best.
One of my favorite Gears games. I'm a huge fan of the original trilogy, no doubt. but I love Gears 5. Only big negative to this one is the ending to the story. G5 is an overall huge improvement over Gears 4, which is my least favorite of the franchise.
gameplay is boring and dialogue seems to be written by effeminate millennials
The gunplay felt like what I was craving from the franchise but the Skiff completely killed pacing. They took out all the things that made the campaigns so iconic, added virtually nothing of value, and emphasized a completely reworked multiplayer which has zero appeal to players like me. Pros: -The action that was there felt like what I was looking for in the series -story was ok, kept up with the established lore so far well enough -added a few weapons that kept things a lil more interesting Cons: -Pacing was ruined by the skiff, spent more time sliding around looking for actual gameplay than cutting things in half with a chainsaw -Jack bot controls were mid, as was the whole controlling jack concept period -Explosive ammo boxes were so scarce using any explosive weapon was practically pointless, especially with how little damage they did for their low ammo count -Muiltplayer classes were too convoluted and detracted from the experience -The iconic multi path choice is comp...
The mechanics are pretty cool but the story is bland and boring from the 3 hours I've seen. Now i haven't played any of the previous games so do with this info what you will.
Game crashes almost every time someone uses a flamethrower anywhere in the map. I'm constantly watching my bullets go right through people even with low ping. If someone has 100 ping, on my screen and in the killcam it shows them missing entire gnasher shots by a country mile, yet I still get chunked. This game is old, there's not really any excuse at this point. You're better off just playing campaign/horde or custom lobbies with a buddy if you can get the game for dirt cheap.
I find escape to be the best part of this game, the fleeing the hive is very dramatic. The poison slowly creeps at the player while hoards of enemies slow you down. The campaign is garbage, the story has been going down hill since three.
My wife and I had a lot of fun playing this Coop Great game solo. I recommended it.
Honestly I tried to play this about 6 times (15 hours) and I honestly can't progress past this damn ice level with the dumb wind jetski dumb thing, I have literally spent 15 hours driving this jetski and only got to the break the ice part after giving in and watching a youtube video playthrough, i'm new to gears games, but played years ago on xbox a few time back in day, i don't recall much about the game instructions being explicitly explained to me at the start of the game, i didn't know there was a map till about 14 hours in. Is this what gears games has come to, from king ravens, brumacks, assault derricks, tanks etc now we get a dumb wind sail jetski for hours on end getting lost all the time. I didn't want to leave a bad review but so far this is just boring, tedious and time consuming etc, driving around in this dumb jetski, f that jetski man, i don't ever want to see it again in my life and this bright white snow level is now hurting my eyes i've been looking at it for so long,...
