About the Game

Your darkest fears will awaken in these woods.

It’s 1996. A young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. As Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, you join the search. What starts as an ordinary investigation soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods…

Blair Witch is a first-person, story-driven psychological horror game based on the cinematic lore of Blair Witch.

A STORY OF THE HUMAN DESCENT INTO DARKNESS

From the creative minds behind the critically acclaimed Layers of Fear, experience first-hand the toll that fear can take on the mind in an original story inspired by the cinematic lore of Blair Witch.

FIND THE WAY THROUGH THE HAUNTED WOODS

Navigate your way through a cursed forest that warps and distorts both time and space.

YES, YOU CAN PET THE DOG

You're not going in alone: you have your trusty canine sidekick, Bullet, by your side. You can encourage him with treats, or discipline him for wandering off - but know that how you choose to treat him affects your story.

YOUR SANITY AGAINST HER CURSE

Stand against the horrors of the Blair Witch and the decaying sanity of a man burdened by his past.

HOW WILL YOU FACE YOUR FEARS?

As you delve deeper into the woods, how you react to danger and behave under pressure will ultimately teach you more about yourself.

For what it is, this is pretty darn neat. Not super crazy but its a good horror game and gots a decent story to be honest. Worth a try specially on sale and if you like horror games, about the only issue I got is the dogs barking. 6.5/10

TBh i lost so many times in the forest and that was so frustrating, you're basically just walking around and don't know where to go next.. game graphics looks amazing..and the aspect of using the dog was a little pit helpful

As a Blair Witch super fan, I feel very blessed that we got such a good game that adds another exciting chapter to the Blair Witch legend. The scenery in this game is amazing, the story is fantastic and the level design is brilliant. Really makes you feel as though you are lost in the woods. I'm also a fan of horror games that have some form of utilities to make use of without making you feel overwhelmed and this game hits the sweet spot with Bullet, your walkie talkie, cell phone, flashlight and the camera. It adds a level a immersion and makes it more than just a walking simulator without feeling like you have too much to manage. Highly recommend.

i was expecting this game to be at least remotely similar to the movie. it was just super intense, and a completely different approach. it may have been good if i had different expectations, but this had nothing in it that i loved so much about the blair witch project. :( well done, but the segments were drawn out for so long and beaten to a pulp. aaaahhh i wish i enjoyed it, but i just didn't at all.

This game is a walking simulator with an Ok story. But it gets too lengthy at times and there are annoying bugs. The game also LOVES to confuse you because durr durr the story durr durr its confusing bro the witch has psychological stuff bro. So you will get lost a lot. At the end you end up not really scared and bored out of your mind. And the achievements are a bunch of BS especially the Last Goodbye achievement. Im going to have to go through a 3rd playthrough for some FUCKING reason because it didnt unlock no matter what I did. So yeah fuck this boring piece of shit game.

bloober would go on to do an insanely good silent hill 2 remaster, and the practice they had with it was with this game. To start, you have to do a fix to run this game if you have a good processor by tinkering with your computer files. Not a good start. Next, the game just doesn't really feel like a Blair Witch game. If you watched Blair Witch Project and your interpretation as that the woods served as their own personalised hell and wasn't some spooky witch stalking them, then you probably wrote this game. It doesn't feel or play out like Blair Witch. There's combat ... why? There's two types monsters and one of them is a pile of leaves rolling. Why even bother? Why not do like an Outlast kind of thing? The combat involves you aiming your light at the monsters, Alan Wake style. Admittedly creepy searching for monsters in the treeline, but the dog just stares and barks at them. Oh yeah, the dog. Bullet the dog is your companion and the only character I didn't want to kill. That bei...

poorly written, incoherent, lousy gameplay Feels like it was written by someone who doesn't know what's actually scary. There was no notion of fear or horror. Has absolutely nothing to do with the Blair Witch movies and did them a huge disservice. Defiantly not worth the full price. The last level wasn't scary, it was annoying, how long should we spend wondering around a house? and for what??. Feels like I didn't have enough influence over the end, it should've given me the option to move forward with what happens. I wont be replaying this again *uninstalls *
