This game isn't getting nearly enough attention. The gameplay is a blast, the visuals are beautiful with some nice touches (like power-ups falling off the screen being represented by the defeated enemy going back to its master), the story is fun so far, and the music is awesome. It'd be even better if the soundtrack was purchasable outside the game. Note that, later on in the game, it gets brutal even on the easiest difficulty (though I'm not very familiar with shoot 'em ups).

User Reviews
Classic-inspired, modernly executed vertical shooter that plays super well and offers a rather unique style to the genre. Very fun, recommended!
Easily one of the best shmup out there. Extremely creative and polished title. 8 stages of non stop action, with a lot of diversity. Beautiful sprites and soundtrack. Challenging, but fair difficulty. A must have for any shmup lover.
fun shmup with good mechanics and cute succubi and monster girls. shouldn't have to sell it harder than this
Demonizer manages to have a visual style wholly unique to the shmup genre that still feels perfectly natural. That alone is a rare feat. The game itself is also fun to play, with a great power up system in the demonize mechanic that makes you feel unstoppable at max power (until you get hit). The game has checkpoints and lets you continue where you left off, so players looking to beat the game once and call it a day have an approachable method to doing so, all without sacrificing the integrity of the arcade mode. OST also slaps. Shmup fans should not sleep on this one.
absolutely love this game. I'm terrible at it but having a lot of fun trying to learn it. Also love to be a monstergirl saving other monstergirls in games
super fun game! i really liked the story too gameplay feels awesome and the presentation is very unique, i really wanna see more games like this, would get a sequel in the blink of an eye!
Don't ask me why.
You can get many shmups on Steam, you won't regret getting this one in particular. Unlike other shmup releases which are basically "launch and forget", Demonizer got a bunch of free content updates and is still being worked on even though it was a complete game on launch. Just do yourself a favor and don't sleep on this if you have any interest in old school shmups whether you're a newbie or an expert.
If you like games like Eschatos and the Touhou Project series, you'll love this game. Not only is the gameplay great, but it also features an authentic FM soundtrack utilizing the Yamaha YM2612 soundchip used for Genesis/Mega Drive games like Thunder Force IV and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Edit: Been playing it more, it's amazing.
