Yakuza 3 Remastered

the game feels so bad after 0, kiwami and kiwami 2. the enemy ai is so bad, all they do is block and stun lock you. I haven't played that much but I already lost an entire session twice because I got into a boss fight under leveled. not only there aren't auto saves but there are also not any warnings about difficult fights.

So, I’ve played Yakuza 0, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2 before jumping into Yakuza 3 Remastered, and man… it really shows its PS3 roots. The story? Fantastic. I’m really enjoying it and it does a great job continuing Kiryu’s journey. But the gameplay? Oof. Combat feels stiff, slow, and just doesn’t hit like the later entries. Going from the smooth Dragon Engine in Kiwami 2 back to this is a tough adjustment. Don’t get me wrong—it’s still an awesome game for the story, characters, and the whole Yakuza vibe. But if you’re here for the gameplay, prepare yourself: this is pure PS3-era brawler, and the remaster doesn’t fix much outside of visuals. Honestly, they should’ve just rebuilt it in the Dragon Engine, because it deserves it. If you’re invested in the series, definitely play it for the story. Just don’t expect the combat and flow of the newer games.

People complain about the combat, and yet I was able to land full combos on bosses, so I think it may be a skill issue. People also say to constantly grab, again, it's a skill issue. Game's good btw, people are just bad at it.
