Sandrock's 400+ Hours Maestro: It has it all- quests, crafting, building, relationships, skill progression, farming, fishing, holidays, weather system, mounts, dungeons, combat, and a rich and detailed world/story.
My Time Devotee: I have almost 80 hours in the game and I'm around 2/3 of the way through the main story, it's massive. It really immerses you in the interesting world they've created.
Expert Sim Sorcerer: My opinion is there is nothing quite like the My Time games on the market. I like them even better than SDV (and that's supposed to be the cozy gaming gold standard) but I wasn't really invested in the story or cared about the characters that much.

this game is rocking but the story is in singleplayer unfortunately if you were looking to progress together in multiplayer. definitely worth though (ilu fang)
I wanted a game that was Harvest Moon-like and was different from the Stardew Valley art style but was multiplayer (no hate, I love the game just wanted something different) and this game fit that perfectly. I highly recommend this game even at full price, it is worth it and rivals the Story of Seasons genre easily. However, I did not like the game at first, I even thought about returning it. This is due to my one issue with this game, the Multiplayer and the Single player experience is wildly different. Not to say the multiplayer experience is bad but it is definitely meant to be played after fully playing the main story in Single player. I purchased this game to play with my husband and we started this game in multiplayer, their was very little to no interesting story, events were not exciting or did not occur, their was no reason besides occasional small talk to connect to the few characters available. It felt like something was missing and it was not engaging. My husband wa...
It may not be especially groundbreaking, but the My Time games do a lot right with this type of game that saves it from being an inferior Stardew Valley but 3D, and this game improves on its predecessor a fair amount. First, the graphical look of this game is excellent on the whole, especially combined with the way everything is lit. It's just very pleasing without being too flashy. It also runs as well as you would want it to, which probably comes from it being able to run on the Switch. Second, the gameplay feel is smooth enough, and has a lot more movement than Stardew Valley, particularly in combat. It's not Dark Souls, but the influence is clearly there in some respects, and I think it's a plus. I appreciated how much variety there was in weapon types for a game of this genre, too. There are some issues though, like how you float after destroying what you're standing on until you move, or how you don't immediately change mining/chopping targets if the change is to a specific obj...

"What if, in a game where you need tons of resources to make anything, we just don't give you resources?" It gives me no pleasure to give my first negative review on Steam to this game. I enjoyed Portia and I wanted to like this game. The setting was.... different. And some of the concepts are intriguing and fresh - salvaging over mining. But unlike all the games like this one, after several game days, I didn't feel even a little further ahead. I'd spend all day and all my energy scraping together enough wood to make one storage box which barely holds anything. The one big plus is being able to save whenever you want. That's a feature I wish Portia had. Other than that, the gameplay, the characters, they just don't work for me.
Sandrock is a lovely game, made so very special by the story and characters (voice acting and dialogue are stellar). It has heart. And is a huge game - upwards of 70h to complete. The building mechanics are fun, and vast QoL improvements were made since Portia. I highly recommend it!
I've been very disappointed in My Time in Sandrock. It's not just woke, it's badly written woke. The game play is slapped together and often paced wrong or out of sync with what is needed. They added a ton of extra elements to the essential gameplay from My Time in Portia that are simply not needed and made my life a hassle. Most of the voice acting is done well but the people who wrote the dialogue need to be fired. I ended up just skipping all the dialogue because of how tedious it was. If you can get this game for a steep discount and then don't mind trying to ignore woke and bad writing shoved in your face most of the time, then underneath is about 2/3 of the great gameplay from My Time in Portia. I honestly think that bad managers were just rushing this game through as fast as possible to get to the next one they are already making. At this point it's like a bad anime that releases season after season that just keeps getting worse.
Value: 100/10! This is the kind of game i can honestly say is worth way more than its price tag. The storyline is so immersive and entertaining. I never thought that starting from just a small desert town could turn into such a rich, engaging narrative. <3
My Time at Sandrock.... where to start... My Time at Sandrock is a cozy openworld farming game with a Post-Apolocalyptic story arch. The game starts off with you (the builder) entering this cozy little town of Sandrock filled with very interesting and diverse characters. From there you get to meet the townsfolk and start your little farm. From my personal time at Sandrock, I had very few negatives to point out, but I will start here with the positives: The relationship and romance progression in this game is slow and I really like it. It's not like Stardew where you can just keep gifting and get married to someone after a few weeks. Relationships are built so much slower and have interesting questlines and special quests and cutscenes that really just feel so right and lovely. It just feels like the world is so alive, not like some games where you feel there is just stale npcs. It feels like these characters each have personality, charm and I love that about this game the most...
