Wow. Just wow. Absolutely loved everything about this game. I wish I could give more comprehensive reviews but all I can say is that I loved every second of it and I'm sad it's over.

at first i was having trouble trying to understand what about this game would make someone go so far as to downvote it. but i thought about it for a while and now i just wish for people who disliked this game to experience what it is to love and support someone, and to be loved and supported by their community in return. mutazione is not a fairytale and nothing about it is poorly written or unearned. i hope you get to have the joy of understanding that someday.

beautiful charming game, lovely soundtrack it encapsulates a specific vibe that is kinda hard to describe but i occasionally replay it so i can experience it again! dont have any complaints other than it being kinda annoying going through every area to check for stuff every day (but this probably isnt necessary just the perfectionist in me LOL)

This was a short and cute little point and click game with a nice story. Despite the clear fantasy setting it still feels really grounded with the way the characters behave and interact with each other. Really drives home that sense of community and togetherness it's aiming for. You will be clicking A LOT, gotta get all them seeds you see. And there are a lot of those, the encylopedia is huge after all. Overall, I don't know about $20 for a 4 hour game, I would do it if you want to support the devs, but I think that the $8.50 I got it for is pretty fair. ½ price I would say that it's a solid 8/10 full I would go for more of a 7/10

Mutazione is one of those games that won't leave your mind for a decade. the story is full of the ordinary, but of course you are in a place that is everything but. i think it is best suited to the genre of magical realism, but the themes of belonging and estrangement also strike me as part of a coming-of-age story. growing the gardens, exploring, playing the music and listening to it, all of it is extremely fulfilling to the aesthetic and kinesthetic senses. i can think of no other game that deserves this much praise regarding its art direction holistically.
