REVIEW AFTER DEV UPDATE, 6/30/2019: Ok so I played the game again because I really wanted to finish it and give it a proper review. Yes the difficulty was lowered but wow you really have to know how to get the run around on the monsters in this game. Meaning you would have to invest a lot of time in this game and lets me honest most people are probably quitting and/or requesting a refund (on a $3.00 game, seriously guys?) Last night on my second play through I did manage to open one more door. I saw the developer provided more bullets but the zombie kept getting up and you eventually get cornered with him and die. Once again I said screw it and gave up. This morning I jumped into it again and found I had to hit one of those terminals to open a door, perhaps it had to be done in a certain order to trigger this door opening. I got into a new area and was given 10 freaking bullets! After the boss battle I finished the game ONLY to find there is another ending. (i'm considering going ...

Update: Dev seems to care. the game has horrendous -Voice "acting" (microsoft Voice overs[david, sam, etc]) -Graphics are subpar (very little choice, it would be nice to see what the 3 given choices affect, shadows/AA/AF/Textures/Motion Blur ETC) no dedicated fullscreen option, No V-sync -The story is told with a ton of grammatical errors (translate things better if you are marketing this towards speakers of other languages.) -the constant jumpscare high pitch noises is off-putting (also seeing the monsters right from the get go, glitching through doors and clipping through walls is not a good tell) -Contrived controls, no running, crouching or jumping +Stable framerate +Good Descriptions when interacting with items in the mansion. +Some music? Bro, this is straight up diarrhea.
I do recommend even though it has its bugs. Obviously it's in early access so it's going to have its bugs and the creators say it again before the game starts so that's a good thing. The english for this game is actually decent so i did not have a problem understanding. The game play itself is amazing and jumpscares are pretty good.I really enjoyed the story so far. Woo! You've gotta be agile to get through this. I'm still working on it. The thing that gets me most of the time is I'm not very smart so I let myself get cornered and it's game over at that point. There is a real sense of urgency while running around trying to avoid the bad guys while finding ways to unlock doors or progress which creates much more fear than I thought it would. I think the only thing that was tough for me was the scream when the first monster spawns. I wear headphones normally so it was really intense. Luckily, I can turn down the sound. Just be prepared if you have sensitive ears. I recommend this game! The Devs are friendly. They will reach out to you if you have any problems, which is very kind. Thank you for making this game. I look forward to seeing future projects. :)
This game is way too hard for me. I do like the atmosphere, and the creepiness. I just think this is way to advanced for me.
The game is super stupid and silly but I admired the imagination coming from just a high school student. This imagination might bring brilliant projects in the future. Keep it up!
Not fun. Edit: The dev wants me to tell them exactly what's wrong or delete the review so here's a few adjectives to describe this game. Boring, lame, lazy, not scary, unintuitive, obnoxious and reprehensible. It is an awful experience that can be summed up by my original review. NOT FUN. Don't buy this nomatter how cheap it is.
I know I have only invested in 0.1 hours of playtime but I seriously could not bare to continue playing anymore due to the following reasons: 1. There are no human voice acting in this game. All the voices you will be hearing are all done by windows narrator or something. I rather that this game had no voice at all because this is really off putting to me. Unfortunately there are no option to mute voices in this game. Horror games are supposed to be immersive but this really breaks the immersive feeling thus why I cant phantom myself playing this game for another minute. 2. For the English translation in this game, the devs must have used a google translator. The way I see it, I can only give this game 1/10. If the devs actually consider improving what I mentioned above, I might give this game another chance, otherwise this game is just gonna sit in my Library collecting dust. Edit: Since the devs asked, I might as well point out what should have been improved. I thought my...
