While I would really like to recommend this game, in this current state I cannot especially at the price point. In all honesty there's some fun to be had with the game as of the current patch (0.4.0 at the time of me writing this review). The large issues lie in the fact that the game is essentially an asset flip, and while the assets are quite good, the execution is quite poor. 1. The town is a circle that takes approximately 3? seconds to sprint while hugging the further part of the invisible wall gating you in to this town circle center thing... And at that, not even all of the NPCs do anything and there's only I think 8 standing there? In reality they're either a crafting bench or a vendor or nothing and they just maybe take up some space to make the invisible wall less invisible wall-y. 2. The missions or... "biomes" are reused over and over and they're the same maps each time. You select your quest and it drops you in the same spot with generally the same spawn patterns for all...

Things that needs to be addressed : - COMBAT. It sucks so much that is simply NOT FUN. There is less emphasis on actual player skill and more emphasis on GEAR and PLAYER LEVEL. If you try to do quests 5 level above you lets say 4 Star quests recommended level is between 20-30 therefore you will be crushed. I tried to do 1 four star quest on level 15 with mage and NOT ONLY I HIT LIKE A WET STINKING SOCK but I die in 2 hits. They simply have too much HP and DAMAGE. Bullet sponges. Run out of mana potions. Enemies DON'T HAVE the same stamina rules or even mana pools. They can and WILL SPAM abilities while you will run around for MANA REGEN because you WILL RUN OUT OF POTIONS. To make matters worse they will dodge your abilities ( they seem to have PERFECT I FRAMES ) and will SPRINT towards you ALL THE TIME ( yet player is limited to how long he / she can sprint ). Speaking about dodging it is simply inconsistent. Half of the time I will get hit. Sometimes I will get clipped in the begi...
I don't usually do reviews so I'll keep this simple. Do I recommend the game? Yes. However, for a certain type of person would this game be for. Ask yourself do you like a game where you will need to grind a lot, and I mean a lot. If your answer is yes then this game is for you. If no then maybe pass on this one. Game is getting updates and it's in Early Access. But there is enough there to give fun and enjoyment. The game is a lot better when you're playing with others. Game does have some bugs but a lot is reported and gets fixed over time. Developer is active in discord and is always open to feedback and suggestions. There isn't any story as of yet, it's mainly grinding levels for materials to craft new and better stuff, or getting lucky to get good drops. There is some min/max that can take place but if grinding is your style of game this is what you should get. I like it, it's a solid game. If you have any questions just ask but it's worth it imo. I'll rate the game at this very...
I paid into Dragon Extinction during crowdfunding because I loved the concept and the story. I've had a lot of fun playing it, but it is still pretty early in development. I have seen a lot of progress in a short amount of time so I expect the game will continue to get better as time goes on. However, the game hasn't implemented the story yet and in my opinion it needs more dragons.
The game gets a lot of love through active updates and fixes and the devs take note of what players say. Source: I requested craft all button for leathers along with a few other players. It got added a few days after.
The UI is excellent, and making lowpoly models like that also so visually appealing is not an easy thing to do. This game has a lot of potential. Combat needs some work though, as it currently lacks depth. I'd like to see more tactical abilities as both classes. But ultimately, I am looking forward to seeing that developed further. The other two class icons in character creation also pique my interest. Story also needs some work. It feels a bit generic right now. Not bad, just has room for improvement. Overall, I think after a bit of development, this game will be worth its price tag. Update on review as of 7/4/21: Game hasn't really added depth. Storyline still missing, quests are grindy and uninspired, combat is still just two classes with a generic skill pool. Looks good, but isn't. Not recommended until significant updates are made.
This game is great! It's still early access, so only two of four classes are available. More skills and spells need to be implemented. More dungeon types and layouts would be appreciated. The interface needs work and more tooltips or a tutorial for signposting. There are a couple invisible walls, and at least one NPC that I cannot talk to, and doesn't sell anything useful. I've only run into a couple minor bugs, such as my aiming reticle disappearing when I alt-tab out of the game, then alt-tab back in. But all in all, I'd rank this a 9/10 game. It doesn't have many players on at a time (there is a limit of 100, but usually you see about ten or so online players), but the quests are extremely fun. I agree with whomever stated there needs to be more quest types. Right now there are quests to kill X number of creatures, then a boss. It would be nice to see fed-ex quests, timed missions, finding secret walls or solving puzzle quests. Also, private rooms where you can play with friends wou...
a lot of potential. surprisingly good communication between players and developers. game is in the early stage, but will catch you for awhile anyways. gameplay is addicting. definitely worth checking.
concept at best not even alpha materials atm ........ extremly boring with almost nothing to do than grind drop or collect stuff around who are useless once you crafted everything after 15-20mn..........and ton of bug like tutorial you've to repeat because the npc is so damm re tard .ed he will not attack you for your required "block attack" listed on your tutorial quest .......... refunded ...... still on "watch" but i don't think the game will ever be 15-20€ content it's way too much overpriced....
Past lvl 10, this game has terrible balance. If you're not playing a mage, don't expect to have fun or be viable, and even that doesn't feel good in the clunky-ness of this game. It doesn't feel fun to play or experience. Combat is garbage, creator has promised changes nearly 2 years ago with nothing in sight. Movement options feel slow, controls feel slow. Small slopes catch your character, making them stuck, invisible walls where they really shouldn't be. Game is unhealthy. Only one update in the entire year of 2023... about dialogue options in town. EDIT: It appears the VR version gets very sparse updates that this version doesn't get. This version has been abandoned. That being said, I still revisit it every so often for a laugh while i'm drunk. 0/10, Crowdsourced cash grab. P.S. In case you think i'm hating for the that comment, the developer's Trello is public: https://trello.com/c/vZLk0sEW/33-improve-combat . Last combat note was made in 2020. No forward progress made on the...
